Wow! We have reached day FOURTEEN of HiveBloPoMo, meaning that we are now two weeks in. Almost at the halfway mark.

Today's writing prompt is "Do a #SublimeSunday post." Technically speaking, this will be the first time I have formally done one of 
Sundays Tend to be Busy Here!
Part of the "joy" of self-employment is that you pretty much give up weekends as "a thing."
Don't get me wrong, I love Sundays. Not because they are that much different from any other day of the week, but because everything that might require me to suddenly spring into action and change direction is closed on Sundays... no banking, no shipping and all that good stuff.
So what does make Sundays cool is that I am more able to concentrate on whatever I am doing than I usually am.
Of course, I am perfectly capable of distracting myself, with things like pausing to take pictures of a little visitor outside my window!
Sunday is "eBay Day..."
As some of you probably know by now, I "make mine" (to some degree) as an eBay seller, and Sundays are usually my busiest day for adding new items... and for sales.
The thing is, other people have weekends off, and are more likely to be browsing eBay on Saturdays and particularly Sunday afternoons, so I try to hit those times... regardless of whether it's just to add something "new"* or to have a full-sale auction session for my stamp business.
This week, though, I am mostly working on a little maintenance on my painted stones store; eBay recently updated part of the interface to be more accommodating to mobile devices, and I need to double check that my wares still display properly.
Looks pretty good, even with all that white space in the middle... but I have spotted one error already... "0% Positive feedback?" Yeah, no... I have 100% Positive feedback.
Usually these changes take a few days to work the kinks out...
More Redesign...
Meanwhile, redesigning seems to be in the air... there was also an interface change on eBid where I have some stamp selling accounts, and the overlap of text and images completely screwed up as a result.
But now it is fixed...
Sunday is "Creativity Day," but not Today
Because the phone does not ring, and nobody is hot to trot for shipments to go out TODAY, Sundays tend to be my preferred day for painting stones... alas, I have to many other things to deal with, today.
Shadow the cat is pretty happy about it; he prefers me to work at my desk so he can just sleep in his box, next to me while I work on the computer.
Every now and then he gets up from his slumber to make sure I am doing it right. Such is life with cats!
Busy Week Coming...
Much as I am not all that enthusiastic about it, the Holidays are around the corner. Part of the price of being in some variation of sales is that this is the busy time for business... and you also want to participate in the festivities, yourself.
Next weekend, we are also getting a "new" (to us) cat coming to live with us, because her owner is moving out of the country and can't take her creatures with her. We agreed to let "Smudge" — who is already 13 years old — live out her golden years with us.
Hopefully she and Shadow will be friends!
