If you are part of a 30-day challenge like Hive Blog Post Month/HiveBloPoMo, Hive Power Up Month/HivePUM, National Journal Posting Month/NaJoPoMo, or National Podcast Post Month/NaPodPoMo (like me), then these last few days of November feel a bit short. Especially if you are behind (like me) and need to make up for the lost time.
Challenge Status: On Target
HiveBloPoMo and HivePUM are the only two challenges I have not missed a day. Yeah!
It's been easy enough to power up 1 Hive each day for Hive Power Up Month. It's actually been fun to see my HP go up each day. Posting daily inside of the HiveBloPoMo Community has also been easy. created these fab blog prompts but also gave us the flexibility to write whatever, too. I've mostly stuck to the blog prompts, but have also gone off course when the prompt wasn't a good fit or if something else was inspiring that particular day's blog post. All in all a really great experience.
Challenge Status: Catching Up
NaJoPoMo and NaPodPoMo are entirely different stories.
National Journal Posting Month didn't begin as an official challenge on November 1st like most challenges this month. It began on November 2nd so I always knew I would need to pick up an extra post somewhere. All 3-4ish of us participating in NaJoPoMo would need to make up that day so it was not a big deal.
However, I am at the stage of having only posted 21 days worth of content on the 27th day of the month. With only 3 days left in the month, I'll need to get 9 posts done in these last few days. I don't want to overwhelm and be "one of THOSE people" so I'll break up posts into breakfast, lunch, and dinner timelines to spread them out. Hopefully, that works out well enough to not catch the ire of folks who already think I'm much too chatty as is. Although if you think I'm chatty now, you should have seen me as a kid.
National Podcast Post Month is where I have really gone off track. As the founder of the podcasting challenge, I am not only participating but also running the 14th annual event. This is why it is easy for me to lose track. At this point, 17 days of podcast episodes can be found on Aureal.
What this means is that I have 13 podcasts to do in 3 days. Can I do it? Yes, indeed. Will it be easy? Nope. Have I done it before? You Betcha!
