I saw today's writing prompt and knew that a walk around my neighborhood would be a very bad idea. Why? Well in my part of the world we are in the prime season for oak pollen. Which means that breathing outside is like breathing in a thick layer of pollen. Yuck!
However, I did at least want to take photos for #WednesdayWalk, so I stepped out my front door to snap a few pics.
For whatever reason we have leaves drop en mass 2x year. Once in Autumn and the second time in Spring. The above photo is taken right outside my front door.
We also have these Root Ball Moss that grow on trees and if left unchecked will slowly kill a tree off. They can be seen in trees and on the ground sort of like mini tumbleweeds.
Here is a close up of that allergy causing oak pollen.
I did happen to notice the neighbor's tree looked quite stunning. So naturally snapped a pic to share.
So, I was only outside snapping these pics for maybe 5 minutes. That was 5 minutes too long. My nose is itching. My throat feels rough. Which means I will be adding in some peppermint or spearmint essential oil to my diffuser, taking a Benadryl, and perhaps a nap.
