While today's #HiveBloPoMo prompt is, "Share 3 phone photos from 3 years ago for Throwback Thursday," once again I'm changing things up a bit. When I was looking for old photos to use for yesterday's A Wayback Wednesday Walk... with a twist!, I noticed a bunch from November 2015 that weren't half bad (especially given I'd taken them with my old camera), and wondered if I'd ever posted them on my WordPress blog.
A quick look at my post archive reminded me that not only was I busy with #NaNoWriMo that month, I was also prepping for surgery on the 30th, so most of my shutterbugging stayed on my hard drive.
So I'm doing throwback pictures, but they're not from my phone, and there's a few more than three. 😂
And these were taken with my old Olympus camera, in the days before I needed to use my tripod quite so much (fuck thank you, Essential Tremor), in my Durham New Hampshire yard. All were resized, then cleaned up a bit with PicMonkey - mostly the exposure and sharpness.

Throwback Thursday - Shots from my yard, November 2015
Â
Â
1. From November 2nd and as I've said before, I never get tired of seeing blue sky, gold leaves, with wispy white clouds. I thought this shot was extra cool because it almost looks like the clouds are emanating from the tree.
Â
Â
2. And these clouds look like they're trying to push the tree over.
Â
Â
3. Stormy November 6th day, but the grey sky made a nice backdrop for falling leaves.
Â
Â
4. And soon enough, some blue sky appeared.
Â
Â
5. Which set up some cool rays from behind the clouds.
Â
Â
6. Leaf photobomb in front of some cool clouds.
Â
Â
7. Speaking of cool clouds, these early morning ones on November 7th had a neat pattern.
Â
Â
7a. I used the "Super B&W" filter on PicMonkey to highlight it better.
Â
Â
8. More leaf photobombs.
Â
Â
9. It took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on with this photo from November 12th.
Â
Â
9a. Same shot, cropped to show the mysterious pattern.
Â
Â
10. But then when I saw this squirrel perched near that same spot in a following shot...
Â
Â
11. ... then saw this woodpecker at the nearby feeder in the next, I figure the woodpecker must've been perched on the shagbark tree and got scared off by the squirrel, and I got a weird shot of him flying off.
Â
Â
12. There was a gorgeous sunset on November 15th, and I grabbed about a dozen shots of it.
Â
Â
13. These are my three favorites of the bunch. I know they all seem fairly similar, but there are slight differences between them all, and I couldn't decide on just one to share.
Â
Â
14. Given how gorgeous the sky was, I'm actually surprised I didn't end up with closer to a hundred shots. And a sunset seems like a good shot to end on.
Â
Â
