Hello friends of the You Hive community, I am here once again after a while in this interesting initiative. To be honest I don't know why I didn't participate as soon as the publication was made, I got distracted by so many things. The fact is that I'm here with great pleasure and I want to send a super greeting to its leaders who make this place a different and great place to express themselves.
Now if we go to the topic itself, about those music videos that have left a mark or have impressed you, I really have many, but of course there are some that impact more than others, that's why I started with two main ones. This initiative that is quite interesting leads us to leave a reflection on what it was like before, especially, I mean in the past what impressed some videos.
I want to start with a music video released back in 2001, of the Nu metal band System of a Down, super famous band and one of the pioneers of this genre. This band was very listened to by my brothers, elders who I thank for having introduced me to this world of metal and rock and roll. The thing is that I don't know if I'm too old, but back in 2001 I was about 8 years old and at that time there were many new things to see.
The thing is that when I saw that video for the first time I was totally terrified (laughs) because in this song called “Aerials” appeared a little boy with a strange appearance, of course the video goes beyond thinking something bad. And his lyrics are totally beautiful, so the whole video thing with the little boy and the women on his side was more about marketing or well that's what I think.
I think this is one of the most memorable songs of this band, it has an intro with a catchy atmosphere. I have to say that they did a great job with the composition of the lyrics and all the editing work for that time with the video. Of course, for a little girl it was a bit shocking to see it.
The second music video also caused me a lot of impact, but in a good way at that time despite my young age, but it was because of the great talent that always emanated from my dear muse Shakira, this Mtv Unplugged was a real dream and I feel that it is still in force, I see it since I am grown up and it still captivates me from the first day.
I chose the song “Moscas en la casa” because it is one of the most beautiful songs of that day. She was very young, she was beautiful and fresh in one of her best moments of her career and I could only admire her for the way she dressed in this video, her hair, the way she danced and expressed every word of these beautiful lyrics written for a love of that time.
The atmosphere of the video is everything, I feel that for the time it was quite advanced and all very well synchronized. As an interesting fact many of those musicians are still with her, the truth is that red hair and all that expression made me inspired by her, as many know music is part of my life and I love everything that has to do with it.
Thanks again to the YouHive team for the creativity and way of running this place, I loved to capture a bit of these music videos and move me to beautiful memories, it's a pleasure to share it with you. Best regards.
