This publication could have been dedicated to many animals, there are so many! On the day of the casting many showed up, hundreds, thousands, millions, though it seems by mistake. A gentleman with a long white beard and and gaze to the sky, dressed in a dark robe, took them to a big wooden boat. oooooh! 😟
The choice
So, for lack of animals, I decided on a cat that I think is a friend of mine. At least, he does what I expect from any friend: not to bother. I'm also sure he expects the same from me.

La elección
Motivo por el cual, escaso de animales, me decidí por un gato que creo que es amigo mío. Al menos, hace lo que espero de cualquier amigo: no molestar. También estoy seguro de que él espera lo mismo de mí.
This is how the selection process took place:
Once the supposedly rational animals ☠️ had been discarded because of their dangerousness, and those that followed the bearded gentleman had disappeared, the casting began. .
Although I did not have to select a candidate among millions, only two were presented (something is something), the process was done with all the guarantees of impartiality. Besides the cat, the other candidate to star in this publication of the enraizar (me) was a neighbor, the rabbit. Candidate to be discarded almost immediately.
It was a rabbit that ran away from me and any human. If I were a rabbit I would do the same (I already do without being one); so the rabbit gave little material to create an interesting and peculiar story. Without any doubt, the rabbit running away from rational animals is not a great story. Also, the cat video did much (much, much) better than the rabbit video on youtube. There was no doubt in my mind.
The protagonist would be the cat.
Así se dio el proceso de selección:
Una vez descartados los animales supuestamente racionales ☠️ por su peligrosidad, desaparecidos los que siguieron al señor con barba, comenzó el casting.
Aunque no tuve que seleccionar un candidato entre millones, sólo se presentaron dos (algo es algo), el proceso se hizo con todas las garantías de imparcialidad. Además del gato, el otro candidato a protagonizar esta publicación de enraizar (yo) fue un vecino, el conejo. No suena bien, ¿Verdad?. Para evitar malos pensamientos lo llamaré rabbit a partir de esta línea. Candidato al que descarté casi de inmediato.
Se trataba de un rabbit que huía de mí y de cualquier humano. Si yo fuera un rabbit, también haría lo mismo (ya lo hago sin serlo); por lo cual, el rabbit daba poco material para crear una historia interesante y peculiar. Sin ninguna duda, el rabbit que huye de los animales racionales no es una gran historia. Además, el video del gato funcionó mucho (muchísimo) mejor que el del rabbit en youtube. No me quedó ninguna duda.
El protagonista sería el gato.
The cat
We met one sunny autumn day. One afternoon I decided to walk a little further and take a subway station a little farther away from my home.
Although in Madrid (Spain) we have no sea, a gentle breeze with its smell of saltpetre enveloped the atmosphere, the sound of the waves lapping gently against the rocks announced a very special meeting.
The new path leads through gardens and it is not uncommon to come across cats. Normally, the cats run away when they see me or stand still and watch until they guess what my path will be. But they don't ignore me.
All cats do this, except for one. They have guessed it. Yes, the same cat that showed up at the casting next to the rabbit. what a smart audience!
Although I don't often pass this alternative path, I had noticed on occasion the presence of a cat that didn't pay attention to me. A cat that made me feel like the invisible man. This is the moment to go a little deeper into this statement: “he doesn't pay attention to me”. Because he does show interest in other people, that is to say, he watches and runs away from them.
And one day the surprise came, I lost my supernatural power transforming me into the visible man.
The cat approached me, I stood still, like when the electric bill arrives, took out my cell phone and started recording. For a few moments, the cat danced around me until it heard the sound of a family getting out of a car (in the video you can hear the sound of the car door closing).
At the moment when the family was moving away from the vehicle and, at the same time, was getting closer to the place we shared (the cat and myself). Now we could entertain ourselves with the philosophy of opposites (about coming and going at the same time), but this is not going to be the moment. I continue: and observing the evolution, the small feline left me taking refuge from the family in the adjoining garden.
I saw my friend once again, this time he didn't come closer, he turned me back into the invisible man.
This is the story of this video and what I think is a beautiful friendship: between an invisible being and one animal.
El gato
Nos conocimos un día soleado de otoño. Una tarde en la que decidí andar un poco más y tomar una boca de metro algo más alejada de mi hogar.
Aunque en Madrid (España) carecemos de mar, una suave brisa con su olor a salitre envolvió el ambiente, el sonido de las olas batiendo suavemente contra las rocas anunciaba un encuentro muy especial.
Por el nuevo camino se anda entre jardines, no siendo raro cruzarse con algún gato. Normalmente, los gatos huyen al verme o se quedan quietos observando hasta adivinar cuál será mi camino. Pero no me ignoran.
Esto hacen todos los gatos, a excepción de uno. Lo han adivinado. Sí, el mismo gato que se presentó al casting junto al co... Al rabbit. ¡qué público tan inteligente!
Aunque no suelo pasar a menudo por este camino alternativo, había notado en alguna ocasión la presencia de un gato que no me prestaba atención. Gato que me hacía sentir como el hombre invisible. Este es el momento de profundizar un poco en esta afirmación: "no me presta atención". Porque a las demás personas si les muestra interés, es decir, vigila y huye.
Y un día llegó la sorpresa, perdí mi poder sobrenatural transformándome en el hombre visible.
El gato se acercó a mí, me quedé inmovil, como cuando llega la factura de la luz. Tomé el teléfono móvil y comencé a grabar. Por unos momentos el gato bailó a mi alrededor, hasta que escuchó el sonido que hacía una familia que se apeaba de un auto (en el video se puede escuchar el golpe de la puerta del coche al cerrarse).
En el momento en el que la familia se alejaba del vehículo y, al mismo tiempo, se iba acercado al lugar que compartíamos (el gato y un servidor). Ahora podríamos entretenernos con la filosofía de los opuestos, sobre el ir y el venir al mismo tiempo, pero no va a ser este el momento. Continúo: y observando el devenir, el pequeño felino me abandonó refugiándose de la familia en el jardín contiguo.
He vuelto a ver una vez más a mi amigo, esta vez no se acercó, volvió a convertirme en el hombre invisble.
