Hello everyone, today I'm back with a brief review of a channel I've been following for years—quite a few, I'd say—mainly because of its central theme, which is Japan. Therefore, I'll introduce you to Nekojitablog, a channel dedicated to learning about the culture, gastronomy, fun facts and interesting topics of the land of the rising sun. This time, participating once again in the community-sponsored initiative, we'll focus on food and gastronomy.
Hola a todos, el día de hoy vengo con una pequeña reseña de un canal que sigo desde hace años, unos cuantos diría yo, y más que todo por su tema central, que es Japón. Por ende, les presentaré en esta ocasión a Nekojitablog, un canal que está dedicado a conocer mucho sobre la cultura, la gastronomía, datos curiosos y temas de interés de la tierra del sol naciente, pero en esta ocasión, participando de nuevo en la iniciativa propuesta por la comunidad, nos centraremos en la parte de comida y gastronomía.
This channel has been active since 2010 and is formed by Ernesto and Yuko, a very unique couple. He's Spanish and she's Japanese. They share a lot of their daily life, experiencing various moments of their development. Personally, I really like their humor and the connection they convey. They have a very fun and informative way of presenting their content; each video offers facts, trivia, laughs, and the occasional beautiful view of the surroundings. I really enjoy watching them because I learn a lot and it's a very realistic look at every aspect of the country in question.
Este es un canal muy activo desde el 2010 y está formado por Ernesto y Yuko, una pareja muy singular, donde él es español y ella japonesa, y relatan mucho su día a día, viviendo diversos momentos de su avance. En lo personal, me gusta mucho su humor y esa conexión que transmiten. Tienen una forma muy divertida y al mismo tiempo muy informativa de dar su contenido; en cada video tienes datos, curiosidades, risas y una que otra vista muy hermosa del entorno. Me gusta mucho verlos, ya que aprendo mucho y es una cara bastante realista de cada aspecto del país en cuestión.
Now, as I said, they don't just base their content on cultural insights or interesting facts. They also have videos dedicated to explaining and trying exotic foods, unusual sweets, challenges, and Yuko even makes videos cooking various dishes.
Ahora bien, como dije, no solo basan su contenido en que conozcas las culturas o curiosidades, sino que también tienen videos dedicados tanto a explicar y probar comidas exóticas, dulces curiosos, tienen algunos retos, e incluso Yuko hace videos cocinando diversos platillos.
The charisma with which they showcase each preparation is very appealing. It's not at all strict and even goes beyond the everyday Japanese norm, as being from different countries demonstrates a connection and liberation from certain default patterns. They also try dishes from other places, recreating them, and I really like that it's always a mix of laughter, good times, and respect; a beautiful coexistence in itself.
El carisma con el que muestran cada preparación es algo que atrae mucho. No es nada estricto e incluso llega a ser fuera de la norma cotidiana japonesa, ya que al ser de diversos países muestran una conexión y liberación de algunos patrones por defecto. Así mismo, prueban platillos de otros lugares, recreándolos, y me gusta mucho que siempre es una mezcla de risas, buenos momentos y respeto; en sí, una bonita convivencia.
Among their videos, as I mentioned before, they often try unusual foods like liquid meals, a video I even watched closely because it was so appealing. They also challenge tourists to eat vegan food for a week, showing the options available to tourists even if they need to seek out this type of food. They always explore everything from cheap to more expensive options, always with recommendations.
Entre sus videos, como mencioné antes, suelen probar alimentos curiosos como las comidas líquidas, video que incluso lo vi detenidamente por lo llamativo, así como otros donde hacen el reto de consumir comida vegana por una semana, mostrando las opciones que tienen los turistas incluso si llegaran a necesitar buscar este tipo de alimentos, los cuales siempre exploran desde opciones baratas hasta las más caras y siempre con recomendaciones.
Although the content is certainly focused on outsiders and potential tourists, it's always focused on food, but it's also very informative, even encouraging you to make a recipe or compare some sweets with those from other places, or making it interactive, as in their video where they show hyper-realistic sweets, of course, with that touch of history behind each sweet that I personally like.
Y es que, aunque ciertamente está enfocado el contenido para las personas de afuera y posibles turistas, siempre en lo que es comida, llegan a ser muy informativos, alentando incluso a preparar alguna receta o comparar algunos dulces con los de cada lugar o haciéndolo interactivo, como lo es su video donde muestran dulces hiperrealistas, claro está, con ese toque de historia detrás de cada dulce que personalmente me gusta.
Watching this channel allows you to learn about many interesting elements of this culture, including how they integrate Ernesto's Spanish culture and how they teach their children both. It's entertaining to watch the recipes, which they even show you how to make in case you don't know how to cook. Not only do they make you want to try them, but they also make you laugh every now and then at how fun it is.
Ver este canal es conocer muchos elementos interesantes de esta cultura, incluso cómo integran la cultura española de Ernesto y cómo enseñan a sus hijos ambas. Es entretenido ver las preparaciones que incluso muestran cómo hacer en caso de que no sepamos cocinar y no solo antojan a querer probarlas, sino que una que otra risa se escapa por lo divertido que llega a ser.
