Thank you all for joining the very first Zagonauts Challenge! Let’s reveal the mystery!
The word Zagonaut is a combination (a portmanteau) of two parts:
- Zagonetka – a Serbian word meaning riddle, puzzle, enigma.
- Astronaut – originally from Greek (astron = star + nautes = sailor), and well known in English as “space traveler.”
So, a Zagonaut is essentially “a traveler through riddles” – one who sails through puzzles, enigmas, and mysteries. 🚀🧩 We are Zagonauts! 😁
Congratulations to everyone who participated – even wrong guesses show creativity, and that’s exactly the spirit of Zagonauts!

Look at a simple 4×4 square grid (like a tic-tac-toe, but larger).
Question: How many distinct squares are there in total?
