Phew... with silver and gold on a huge tear upwards, it has been quite impossible to win on any of the auctions with stinky bids! No matter, I'm not going to chase the price upwards... and it has sort of hit a point where I am considering offloading some of my less favourite pieces of silver. Just figuring out how to do it... get gouged at the coin shops, or have to deal with people and scammers through the second hand sites... or go through the auction house and deal with their pretty high fees as well. I'm sort of tempted to do the auction house, it is hands off and I like that!
Anyway, I had seen a nice set of Australian flora and fauna copper pieces being done by shop in the north... and I figured that it would be nice to have some of those. These are really quite nicely done, and the designs are nice and intricate... I think that the animals definitely came out better in the designs in comparison to the flora... the trees and bushes sort of all look a bit the same, whereas the animals are quite distinct.
... and on the back the Great White Shark design of the seller. Nothing amazing compared to silver and gold, but I just had to itch that collecting itch without paying the dizzying amounts that the other precious metals have currently reached!
