2023 - 1 Dollar - Elizabeth II 6th Portrait - Australian Kookaburra
The Australian Kookaburra is a bird species that is native to Australia and is known for its distinctive call, which sounds like laughter. The kookaburra is a beloved symbol of Australia's unique wildlife.
I wanted to post this last week for 's wildlife challenge, but was away and not able to. Just received this a few weeks ago before APMEX went to their minimum purchase requirement.
My wire feel in love with it when she first saw it. I think it is quit possible a few more like this and she may actually start stacking and collecting with me.😀
The 2023 Australian Kookaburra is a special edition coin minted by the Perth Mint in Australia. The coin features an image of two kookaburras perched on branches on the reverse side, with intricate details of the birds and surrounding foliage. The obverse side of the coin features the sixth portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing the King George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace.
If you have any further information about this coin you would like to add, like historical information I left out or want to correct any I may have gotten wrong, please have it in the comments.
Thanks,
Joe
