How is it already December?

It is apparently my thing these days to only post to Hive every three months or so. Checks watch and calendar… Today is the day! 😄

It is always f*cking something… This last week my husband ended up in the hospital! He is fine now, or at least recovering. Poor dude turned yellow/orange with a fever of 103.4 on Tuesday evening. I whisked him to the ER where we found out gallstones blocked one of his liver bile ducts (hence the yellow/orange color). They had been wreaking havoc long enough that he also had sepsis. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Five days of IV antibiotics and two surgeries later, hubs is home and on the mend.

Hubs came home Saturday night. So on Sunday I decided I would go buy a Christmas tree! Cause why not buy a live tree, when I already have an artificial tree, and when I haven’t done ANYTHING else to prepare for Christmas.

In holiday related things…

The other day a little “treat myself” gift arrived in the mail. I knew the purchase was holiday themed. However, one exciting element of the “gift” only became clear when I opened the package.

Let’s have a look!

OK, this is not a DVD. It is a coin, featuring Grogu (aka baby Yoda) from The Mandalorian TV show. The coin is 1 Troy ounce of .999 fine silver from the island nation Niue.

Joy to the Galaxy! Obviously the coin is Christmas themed. It’s got snowflakes, stylized poinsettias and a bit of red and green colorization. But this IS NOT the surprise. The surprise is the airtite protecting the coin.

IT’S AN ORNAMENT!!!

Of course I put that baby straight on the tree!

And with that, LET THE HOLIDAYS BEGIN!
