How do you share an epic event that literally came together through years of fate/luck and persistence/planning?

Let’s start with THIS guy.

If you do know Hive account@summertooth you are lucky to have met one of the most friendly, kind, fun loving, chill, goofy, genuine humans on the blockchain. He is an awesome friend! His warm laugh is contagious, and he just naturally gets along with and brings together all sorts of people.

We are both members of silver gold stackers of Hive (formerly Steem Silver Gold). I met him “on the chain” in the most random way. Lucky me, life has been better with his friendship.

As long as I can remember, Summer has been trying to organize a Las Vegas meet up for the silver and gold stacking crew.

While Summer’s plan didn’t come to fruition then, it did happen this past weekend!!!

For the last four crazy days, I had the pleasure of being on vacation with Hive account@summertooth, Hive account@silverd510, Hive account@enginewitty, Hive account@fat-elvis, Hive account@thedamus and Hive account@brian.rrr. It was a silver gold stackers boys plus me weekend! 😄 We had SO. MUCH. FUN.

We have all been “hanging out” virtually for years… First on Steemit the platform that shall not be named, then on Discord and finally on Hive. I have also spent time in “real life” with both Hive account@summertooth and Hive account@thedamus before. However, this was the first in person, in the flesh meeting for everyone else, and boy did we jam in the fun.

Hive account@summertooth was the first to the city. He drove across three states and arrived in time to pick me (ladies first), Hive account@enginewitty and then Hive account@silverd510 up from the airport! Talk about 5 star service! We four made it to town on Thursday.

Our Canadian friends Hive account@fat-elvis (aka fatty boom boom) and Hive account@thedamus both ended up delayed by a day due to various airline shenanigans. Hive account@brian.rrr arrived in the wee hours of the night, so we did not catch up with him until Friday.

For the first part of Thursday night, Summer, Silverd and I got food then wandered the Las Vegas Strip. This included dinner at a spot called Nacho Daddy. (Silverd is still upset I ordered chicken tacos at a nacho restaurant.) Summer grabbed a street beer someone was selling from their ice chest. And we all watched the fountain show at the Bellagio. 😍

Though we had parted ways (temporarily) in the early part of the evening, we EVENTUALLY “found” Hive account@enginewitty up by the Mirage. This was his FIRST time EVER in Vegas! He was REALLY enjoying all of the “peacock” ladies selling photo opportunities on the strip. Click here. He also hung out with me to watch the Mirage volcano show, while the other fellows did a bit of gambling.

The night ended with drinks and an AMAZING view from the rooftop of Summer and Silverd’s hotel. Two lemon drop martinis please. 😍

As you can tell, I have much to share about our EPIC meetup. Alas, it is late here and I have been averaging 4 hours of sleep a night since Thursday… So, I will leave it for another post (or two). 😇

I will end it by saying, I have had a lot of Hive meetups now. It can be a little intimidating to meet ”internet people in real life. But I am telling you, if the opportunity comes your way… Do it! It is so fun. This weekend was the BEST and we are all better friends for it.
