I spent the last 5 days on vacation. Most of that time at a family reunion.
it was a super fun time. My kids just love reunions. They’re at the age when everything is magical. So small activities are fun to them. They also have lots of cousins close to their age and ttheir cousins really like to take care of them.
When the kids are playing it gives a lot of time for the adults to chat.
We got into a variety of topics. Ranging from finances to the Trinity.
one think that stood out to me is that it hard for most people to focus on savings. We go through life and just try to get by while also having some fun and hopefully not going into life ruining or life altering debt. It was a good reminder to re focus on building some side income, working for a raise at work, and saving more of my money.
So when I got home I did 3 things so far to work toward that.
1 one I bought these 6 beautiful silver dollars. 5 American eagles and 1 Morgan silver dollar.
Check them out! Silver is staying around $36 but I think it might have some legs.
Next I put some money in my Roth IRA. I like to slowly add to this on top of what I put into my 401k at work.
And lastly I put a little cash in my basement for a raining day if one ever comes along.
I’m going to try and spend less over the next few months and build up even more savings. That includes HBD earning 15%.
