So I’ve been collecting coins a long time. Back in the day I thought these gold coins were pretty cool. I used to get them for working for my grandpa. Then when I was in high school I ended up spending them all on gas or treats. Wish I still had some.
Well today at the coin shop I was able to pick up this cool little treasure. The local coin shop here has this random little table in the corner where he just throws all his stuff that he’s not sure what to charge for. Usually throws a price tag on it but you can barter way lower. I found this today and thought it was a pretty cool little collector for myself since these coins were part of the joy, I found in coin collecting early on in my life.
My son after seeing this asked if they were real gold? I told him that they weren’t. He said well then why did you waste your money? It’s only a dollar.
I talked the guy down to selling it to me for $5.25. So a very small premium for sure.
