A couple fun coin designs for the stack, from SilverTowne Mint - The Mighty Eagle Round, and the Prospector Poker Chip. All that glitters ain't gold... Sometimes it's Silver! Heheee
SilverTowne Mint
SilverTowne Mint, located in Winchester Indiana, originally got it's start as an antique and coin shop. It's grown to be one of the largest Private Mints in North America - with a wide range of designs, specializing in custom mints (Source).
Mighty Eagle Coin
This 1oz Mighty Eagle Round, by SilverTowne Mint, is a 999 fine silver representation of strength and freedom (Source).
The front of the coin has the head of a tribal style mighty eagle, glancing to the right. The eagle, circles, and text have a mirror finish, the rest of the coin finish is matte. Around the top curve of the coin is the text "SILVERTOWNE MINT". Along the bottom half curve of the coin is the text "1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER".
The back side of the Mighty Eagle coin has a Gucci pattern feel with the logo text "SILVERTOWNE MINT" repeating to make a pattern. Sharp looking coin, I like the style.
Prospector Poker Chip
The SilverTowne Mint's prospector character is known as an explorer, spending his time searching for Precious metals and mineral deposits (Source).
One side of the coin features the Prospector squatting, checking out his spoils, with his donkey to his right, and a southwestern desert style background. The upper left outside curve of the coin reads "SilverTowne" with raised text letters, and the letters "ST" on the coin he's reading.
The reverse side of the coin has the silouette of the Prospector leading the donkey to the right. Prospector has a pickaxe swung over his shoulder, the donkey is loaded up with supplies. Above them is the logo text "SilverTowne L.P.", just below the Prospector is the text "WINCHESTER INDIANA". Along the bottom curve of the coin is the text "1 TROY OUNCE .999 FINE SILVER". Prospector is quite the character, a fun pair of coins.
Local Prospecting
I live near mountains, and go hiking with the family often, we find lots of quartz crystals and other rocks. The area is known for having places to pan for gold, I'll be trying my luck this summer after the snow melts.
