The final addition to the collection of 2024
Even though it's shared just now, already in 2025, this gift arrived at my home in the final weeks of 2024 and with that it was the last item I added to my precious metals collection. At the time I still hoped for the Secret Santa gift to arrive in 2024, but that didn't happen so let's have a look at this final little treasure.
Unexpected gift
I surely wasn't expecting to find any gifts in the Christmas cards I received from several Silver Gold Stackers members this year, but here we are, and I'm very grateful that thought about me as well while shipping these out. I surely didn't see it coming and with that the joy was even bigger because who doesn't love an unexpected surprise gift?
Card
The writing on the envelope didn't ring a bell so I opened it, a bit too excited because with that I accidentally damaged the envelope and the return data. I took care of that later because I already know that I will send out Christmas cards this year and of course SilverD is on the list!
Inside was a beautiful card waiting for me with a kind message:
Goldback gift
How lovely was it to see the Goldback note he added:
1 Goldback South Dakota which contains 1/1000th Troy Ounce 24K Gold.
I only had the Wyoming, New Hampshire and Utah goldback in my collection so that was even cooler to have a new one for my collection. Every one of them is a litlte piece of art!
I will take good care of it, thank you friend!
First silver of 2025 ordered
While it wasn't a big purchase, namely paid by the proceeds of some sales I did myself, I decided to put those funds into a 1/2 OZ silver round which is just being shipped. Monday is a holiday here so nothing moves until Tuesday I guess, hopefully it will arrive by the end of next week. It's fine if it doesn't because I have 3 or 4 more silver rounds to share anyway..
Parade day
Tonight it's the big parade for the three wise men, apparently this is a much bigger thing in Spain than Santa Claus, I never knew really. This year several people said we should go and watch the big parade in the city so today we will. It's not the best day because it's super windy and I've been cold all day, lol. I'm shaking off the tourist vibes I guess because a year ago, I barely wore my wintercoat and mostly stuck to a vest. I have been wearing the coat for a month or so now, lol.
The kids are off two more days so Wednesday the new school trimester starts, which is good in a way, although I will miss staying in bed 30 minutes longer, but that's fine.
Have a good Sunday!
