Hey don't you worry that's not your fault! That's just how they handle things coming in here. I only had a few rare moments where I did not have to pay import stuff on silver items coming in. I also think they just always ask for a minimum amount whenever it comes through customs with fees but not sure.

I'm very happy with it, don't worry, it's bad enough that you had to deal with that stuff on your end ;)
