Twelve days of Christmas

The initiative kickstarted by Hive account@silverd510 and followed by many community members to display their desired coins for this year's secret Santa (and after). I'm using it not just to show which items I'd love to receive as a gift to at least help out my secret Santa to find out what it is that I truly desire (inserts the voice of Tom Ellis from the series Lucifer here) but also to have my own little list to focus on once the new year starts.

Go big or go home wish

Also inspired by Hive account@silverd510 when he said "Go big or go home", today I will share with you an item that's a bit more expensive than a 1 oz silver round but I want to add it anyway because either way, I plan on purchasing a few of these next year to slowly start adding gold to our long term investments as well. I know I could have picked a 1/10 oz version or heck, even the 1oz one but I share the one that I indeed plan on buying myself either way and those bigger babies are not on my list just yet in the next year.

Golden Maplegram

When it comes to gold, I believe when starting to buy this, I should stick to a piece that's easy to sell when the time is there to do so, therefore I made the choice to pick a gram of a golden Maple leaf, the Maplegram as I read they call it. Not sure if that's official but I saw it a few times. I think it sounds cute.

We all know what the Maple leaf coins look like, this is just a tiny golden version of it. While I own just 1 silver Maple leaf, I will add more next year, I will also start buying a few of these in the next year to slowly start collecting a bit of gold aside from silver. It feels like it's time, even though the buys will be tiny initially, I feel it will be a good investment for the future.

They aren't meant to be sold in the next few years but serve as a long term investment, maybe in our lifetime, or maybe in that of our kids, we'll see how the future unfolds, right? I realise it's just a tiny start to put these on my wish list and future buys, but I have to start somewhere because I'm not willing to move to gold fully yet, I love silver too much for that!

So even though today's piece was more to add to my personal wish list, I wanted to share it in this series anyway because I will try to get my hands on the items I put on my list this year. We'll see if all works out with the silver items because a few items are harder to purchase here in Spain, or way overpriced if they are available. The Maplegram is from a Spanish seller so that's one I can surely buy in the future. I'm already excited, even though I know it's just a tiny tiny little coin..
