Here are a couple of macro shots of a nail that was protruding from a wooden plank in an old and delapidated cubby house in my back yard. The kids have long since grown up and the remnants of the cubby house are now used for wood storage.
When you attach a macro lens to your camera, it opens up a whole new world of wonderful things.
The first shot the nail is hammered into a dry and arid like setting, whilst the second could have been driven into a lush green carpet. The shallow depth of field, I think adds to the overall atmosphere.
