Wouldn't it be unfair to ask this from a mirror that has both a magnificent appearance and a nostalgic atmosphere? I want to take you to an old mansion that reminds you of a completely different place with its rooms, fireplaces, bathrooms and beautiful living rooms. The name of this place is the Yeniçeri Ahmet Ağa Lodge mansion.
The door of the mansion resembles the large wooden door that ancient cities used to enter their castles. When you enter through the door, they have built a resting and breakfast section set on lush green grass. There are fragrant flowers and an elaborate fountain around it. The mansion has several entrance doors. Each door is made of wood. There are flowers in hanging vases on both sides of the door. Its walls are designed in the form of buttoned houses unique to Ormana Village.
Yeniçeri Ahmet Ağa Lodge Mansion is located in Ormana Village in İbrabi district of Antalya. The mansion consists of a large wooden house, which we call 2-storey button houses, which is a local architecture of Ormana Village. You can visit this beautiful and magnificent mansion after a approximately two-hour journey to Antalya city center. There is an entrance fee and they charge 80 TL per person. Now let's go inside the mansion.
At the entrance, on the right side, there are wooden stairs to go up to the upper floor. On the left, there is a corner whose walls are made of stone and form the exterior of the houses with buttons. Brief information about the owner of the mansion and its history is given on the walls. The mansion has a very old structure and during the renovation, efforts were made not to damage its natural appearance as much as possible. Items from ancient times were also tried to be exhibited on the walls. A small rug hanging on the wall, a nostalgic chandelier and pottery on the walls immediately catch the eye. Remember the light lamps and buttons in old village houses. Even the round, slightly bulging sockets with a single protruding button were made to suit the environment.
There is a small reception area under the stairwell at the entrance. An officer welcomes us here and gives information about the mansion. There are 6 rooms on the first floor where guests can stay. These rooms have been prepared with a completely different concept from the rooms you know. The doors of the rooms consist of a low door made of wide wood. When you enter the door of the room, you bow your head. The officer explains that this situation stems from the janissaries' respect and respect for the people around them. Now let me show you the room.
There are traces of the past in every corner of the room. The headboard of the bed and the duvet covers bear the traces of the Ottoman culture that was used long ago. We called these beds divans in the village. There is a fireplace stove at the head of the room, which is in every room. The windows are made of wood in the form of small arches. On the edges of the walls, there are night lamps, oval bowls and trays that were previously kept in houses during the war. Even the wooden symbols on the ceiling were very striking. Everything is prepared in accordance with the methods of the past life and presented to the guests.
I will show you the second floor in a moment. But first, I mentioned a mirror at the beginning of my article. This mirror is one of the oldest items here and was brought here under special protection. I couldn't go upstairs without standing in front of and looking at this mirror, which looked very magnificent with its original furniture of the period.
We go up the wooden stairs to continue our journey into the past. The second floor of the mansion is much more beautiful than the first floor. Now let me show you the beauties of this floor with a short video.
There is a large seating area upstairs. There are floor mattresses in the seating area, which was also prepared in accordance with the period. There are windows made of perforated wood. The floor mattresses are so comfortable; I went and immediately sat down and posed. Everything looked very beautiful and original, with rugs, pillows, covers, paintings and ornaments reflecting the period items placed around it. The large round tray-shaped sheet metal in the middle was used as a table.
The most striking item on the upper floor is the red sofa I showed below and the painting right behind it. It looks so original and solid; Maybe it is the part where sultans or janissaries feel good. This is probably the area where arriving guests are hosted. They look like large bells that stood in front of windows, were installed in castles during wars, and announced the news of the approach of the enemy. The pottery and period items on opposite walls are all carefully prepared and designed.
Now let's continue to tour the rooms of the mansion. They numbered the top of those little wooden doors. Even the shower and sink in the rooms look like they were built into the wall. When you open the wooden cabinet, you see the bathroom and sink. Even the taps and the items used look original. As in every room, these rooms also have a fireplace. It is written on the walls who is staying in the rooms. Again, the windows and the items hanging on the walls reflect Ottoman culture.
As I slowly come to the end of my article, let me finally talk about the terrace part of the mansion. The terrace looks brighter and more spacious. From the terrace, you can see the garden of the mansion and the button houses around it. Inside the terrace there is a sofa that can seat about five people. I don't know what the symbols hanging on the walls above the sofa do or what they mean. This is the listening area for guests coming to the mansion. At the entrance, there is a tea kettle section prepared in the shape of a table and a samovar.

O büyük tarihi aynanın karşısına geçip, burada neler olduğunu bana göstermesini çok isterdim. Hem ihtişamlı görüntüsü hem de nostaljik bir havaya bürünmüş bir aynadan bunu istemek haksızlık olmaz dı? Konağın kapısı, antik şehirlerin kalelerine girerken yaptıkları büyük ahşap kapıya benziyor. Kapıdan içeri girince yemyeşil çimenlerin üstüne kurulan dinlenme ve kahvaltı bölümünü yapmışlar. Etrafında mis kokan çiçekler ve özenle hazırlanmış bir çeşme var. Konağın bir kaç giriş kapısı var. Her kapı ahşaptan yapılmış. Kapının her iki yanında asmalı vazo içinde çiçekler var. Duvarları Ormana Köyüne özgü düğmeli evler şeklinde tasarlanmış.
Yeniçeri Ahmet Ağa Ocağı Konağı, Antalya'nın İbrabı ilçesinde Ormana Köyünün içinde yer alıyor. Girişte, hemen sağ tarafta üst kata çıkmak için ahşaptan yapılmış merdivenler var. Sol tarafta duvarı taştan ve düğmeli evlerin dış cephesini oluşturan bir köşe var. Duvarlar da konağın sahibi ve geçmişi ile ilgili kısa kısa bilgiler verilmiş. Konak çok eski bir yapıya sahip ve tadilat yapılırken mümkün olduğunca doğal görünümüne zarar vermemeye çalışılmış. Eski dönemlere ait eşyalar da duvarlar da sergilenmeye çalışılmış. Duvara asılmış, küçük kilim, nostaljik bir avize ve duvarlardaki çanak çömlekler hemen göze çarpıyor. Hatırlayın eski köy evlerindeki ışık lambalarını ve düğmelerini.. Yuvarlak hafif şişkin tek çıkıntılı bir düğmesi olan prizler bile ortama uygun yapılmış.
Girişteki merdiven boşluğunun altında küçük bir resepsiyon bölümü var. Burada bizi karşılayan bir görevli konak hakkında bilgiler veriyor. Birinci katında gelen misafirlerin kalacakları 6 oda mevcut. Bu odalar bildiğiniz odalardan tamamen farklı bir konsepte hazırlanmış. Odaların kapıları geniş ahşaptan yapılmış alçak bir kapıdan oluşuyor. Odasın kapısından içeri girerken başınızı eğerek giriyorsunuz. Görevli bu durumu, yeniçerilerin karşısındaki insanlara olan hürmeti ve saygısından kaynaklandığını açıklıyor. Odanın her köşesinde geçmişe yönelik izler var. Yatağın başlığı kullanılan nevresim örtüleri hepsi çok önceden kullanılan Osmanlı kültürünün izlerini taşıyor. Biz bu yataklara köyde divan adını verirdik. Odanın başucunda her odada olan bir şömine sobası var. Pencereler küçük kemer şeklinde ahşaptan yapılmış Duvarların kenarlarına eskiden savaş esnasında evlerde bulundurulan gece lambası, oval çanaklar ve tepsiler yer alıyor. Tavandaki ahşap semboller bile çok dikkat çekiciydi. Her şey geçmiş yaşantının usulüne uygun olarak hazırlanıp, misafirlere sunuluyor.
Birazdan sizlere ikinci katı göstereceğim. Ama önce yazımın başında bir aynadan bahsettim. Bu ayna buradaki en eski eşyalardan biri ve buraya da özel korumalı bir şekilde getirilmiş. Dönemin orijinal eşyalarıyla birlikte çok ihtişamlı görünen bu aynanın karşısında duramadan ve ona bakmadan üst kata geçemezdim.
Geçmişe yolculuk yapmaya devam etmek için ahşap merdivenlerden yukarı doğru çıkıyoruz. Konağın ikinci katı, birinci kattan çok daha güzel. Şimdi bu katın güzelliklerini kısa bir video ile sizlere göstereyim.
Üst katta geniş bir oturma alanı var. Yine dönemine uygun olarak hazırlanan oturma alanında yer döşekleri yer alıyor. Delikli ahşaptan yapılmış pencereler var. Yer döşekleri o kadar rahat ki; gittim hemen oturup pozumu da verdim. Kilimleri, yastıkları, örtüleri tabloları ve etrafına konulan dönemin eşyalarını yansıtan süs eşyalarıyla, her şey çok güzel ve orijinal görünüyordu. Ortadaki yuvarlak büyük tepsi şeklindeki sacda sofra olarak kullanılıyormuş.
Üst kattaki en dikkat çekici eşya da aşağıda gösterdiğim kırmızı kanepe ve hemen arkasındaki tablodur. O kadar orijinal ve sağlam görünüyor ki; belki de padişahların veya yeniçerilerin kendilerini iyi hissettikleri bölümdür. Burası muhtemelen gelen misafirlerin ağırlandığı alandır. Pencerelerin önünde duran, savaşlarda kalelere kurulan ve düşmanın yaklaştığı haberi duyuran büyük çanlar gibi görünüyor. Karşılıklı duvarlarda yer alan çanak ve çömlekler dönemin eşyaları her şey özenle hazırlanıp tasarlanmış.
Şimdi konağın odalarını gezmeye devam edelim. O küçük ahşap kapıların üstünü numaralandırmışlar. Odaların içinde duş yeri ve lavabo bile duvarın içine yapılmış gibi duruyor. Ahşap dolabın içini açtığınızda karşınıza banyo ve lavabo çıkıyor. Musluklar ve kullanılan eşyalar bile orijinal görünüyor. Her odada olduğu gibi bu odalarda da şömine var. Odalarda kimlerin kaldıkları da duvarlarda yazıyor. Yine pencereler ve duvarlarda asılı olan eşyalar, Osmanlı kültürünü yansıtan cinsten.
Yazımın yavaş yavaş sonlarına gelirken, son olarak konağın, teras kısmından da bahsedeyim. Teras daha aydınlık ve ferah duruyor. Terastan konağın bahçesini ve çevresinde düğmeli evleri görebiliyorsunuz. Terasın içinde yaklaşık beş kişinin oturabileceği bir kanepe var. Kanepenin üstündeki duvarlara asılı olan semboller ne işe yarıyor, ya da neyi ifade ediyor bilemedim. Burası konağa gelen misafirlerin dinleme alanı olarak geçiyor. Girişinde masa ve semaver şeklinde hazırlanmış çay kazanı bölümü var.
