On foot
A 4 hour walk in total.
The 16th century Sconse
Every now and then I go for a longer walk than I normally do. Which way that is depends on the wind. First against it, back home with the wind in my back. That is if it does not change its course during my walk. Oudeschans was my goal for the day. Taking a long walk to take a stroll there and the walk back home. Seems a bit odd, I guess.
Oudeschans is part of a 16th century fortress network in the North-East of Nederland. It is very close to the German border. The most well known one is in Bourtange. And in Winschoten there is also a small reconstructed Sconce. Although I like the fortress in Bourtange the most a total of 50 kilometer to walk seemed a bit too much. When I head that way I will do so on my bicycle.
Had a great walk and shot some pictures while I was there. So I'll leave you with those.
Have a great one!
