Greetings, friends.
Orthodox Christians in Russia celebrated Easter today. And the day turned out to be just as bright and sunny.
For my dog and me, the day started with a walk.
I decided to start my walk by checking the condition of the walking roads in the forest. But I came across several rubble formed from fallen pines after strong winds in February.
Well, we will reconsider our route and try to walk towards the river to look at the big water.
Wow, I'm not going to the river, but the river came to me. The water has not yet risen to the level it was at 4 years ago, but the start of the water rise this year is earlier than average. Yes, experts called the date of the beginning of ice melting on the river about April 15, and they were wrong by 2 weeks.
Every spring, people ask the question of how high the water in the river will rise. For me, big water is good. This gives the fish more room to spawn. They swim from the river to the flooded meadows and hang their eggs on bushes standing in the water and on old grass. By the time the water level starts to drop, the fry should already appear from the caviar. Some of them will remain in the remaining puddles in the meadows, and some will have time to swim into the river. These fry have a chance to survive and grow up.
If you look closely or enlarge the picture, you can see a small cloud on the horizon that looks like a pillar. There is danger in that direction, and it comes from a chemical plant in the form of clouds like these. Yesterday, I also saw a large, similar "mushroom" in that direction.
I followed this road, hoping that I would be able to follow it to the neighboring village, but after about 400 meters, the water blocked my path and would not let me. But I wasn't upset.
Nature gave me a gift in the form of a butterfly. It's a great place to live and to fly butterflies. From the north, a high hill keeps out the cold, but the sun warms, and the warmth is felt.
The butterfly was not alone. I saw another lovely creature. And I managed to take a photo of this butterfly too.
Hmm, the water is also covered with thin ice today, because the temperature was negative last night. I hope it was the last ice in this winter season gone by.
The walk turned out to be wonderful. We're going back home, but now we have to walk through the snow.
