If you're looking for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, Cocoa Beach might be the perfect destination for you. It is located on the Atlantic coast of Florida. Although it should be a popular place for the tourists, we didn’t see that many people on the beach when we came.
This area offers a variety of beautiful beaches, natural parks, and a rich history, making it an ideal place for a weekend vacation.
One of the most popular attractions here is a stunning beach with crystal clear water and smooth sand. It's the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon sunbathing, reading, or swimming. The beach was slightly wavy when we visited but still the water was shallow and warm, just as we like.
This beach is also ideal for families with kids as the shallow waters make it safe for children to play and explore.
On one of our evenings, we took a walk along the beach as the sun was setting. The sky turned into a breathtaking orange and purple, creating a beautiful backdrop for the waves rolling onto the shore. We walked along the shore, it was nice and not crowded at all.
Kids were running and playing, making sandcastles, and chasing each other in and out of the water. It was a perfect family evening filled with laughter and joy.
Near Cocoa beach there is Cape Canaveral, that’s where we were going the next day.
Cape Canaveral is rich in history and is home to the Kennedy Space Center, where NASA launches its spacecrafts.
If you're interested in space and technology, a visit to the center is a must. Here, you'll learn about the history of space exploration and see amazing displays of rockets and space capsules.
Cocoa Beach is a fantastic place to spend a weekend, offering a combination of relaxation, fun, and educational opportunities. Whether you're interested in history, technology, or simply want to relax on a beautiful beach, this area has something for everyone.
So, if you're looking for a peaceful and enjoyable weekend getaway, Cocoa beach might just be the place for you.
