So, I've posted several weapons from my stash before. Here is my favorite everyday concealed carry piece, upgraded. I just got this magazine spring kit from Magguts dot com. These kits promise to add +2 rounds to the 10 round and 12 round Sig Sauer P365 (9mm) magazines.
This is the "after" pic, with the Magguts internal spring, 10 round factory magazine (now 11 + 1) and Amory Craft pinky extension.
For some reason, 12 rounds seems to be this magic number desired for concealed carry. I don't know what it is, but it seems to stick with me as well.
This shows the pistol with the factory 12 round magazine, notice how much more it sticks out the bottom than the flush 10 round magazine.
Here is a pic of the spring kits. They sell +2 kits for both the 10 round magazine, and the 12 round magazine, turning them into 12 round and 14 round, respectively. They are promising a +2 kit for the 15 round magazine as well to be released soon.
Here is a picture of the two magazine springs. The factory is on the left (with Armory Craft pinky extension at the bottom. The new Magguts kit on the right with the red follower.
I did not use the Magguts base plate. I prefer the Amory Craft pinky extension on this short grip frame so that my pinky is not hanging off the bottom in the air. This gives a much better grip, but it did reduce the capacity to 11 + 1, instead of 12 + 1.
A worthwhile trade-off for me, and I still get that magic number 12 for concealed carry. And yes, I still have the ugly 15 round mags in the car just in case backups are needed. I just love how small and concealable this is while having the accuracy and shoot-a-bility better than many larger firearms. I can easily tuck this into a jacket or shorts pocket and carry all day without being irritated at the size or weight.
Here's the video of the new magazine in action (with double taps, of course) to test the reliability.
So far, it seems reliable. I've only put a couple magazines through it to test, but have seen a few other videos as well. I'll still carry my other mags with factory springs as backup for awhile until I've built up more trust in these, but so far I am really liking the form factor and even the look of the smaller magazine with the AC pinky extension. And yes, that is an Amory Craft skeletonized flat trigger as well, which I LOVE.
Enjoy!
