Last night I went out dancing with some friends and woke up this morning feeling very content and happy. The weather has changed finally and you can really feel winter begin to creep in. It's a lot cooler at night and early morning, can be quiet chilly. Yesterday it rained a bit, so today was the perfect day to go explore some more of this wonderful area that I live in. The air felt fresher, as did the earth beneath my feet.
So after lunch, me and my youngest daughter, plus Freya our oldest canine companion headed off. Ready for a new adventure.
And what a wonderful adventure we had. We hadn't long set off, before we came across this heart shaped rock, which assured us, that we were on the right path.
My daughter was super excited, it was hard keeping up with her, as she really want to explore, whilst I wanted to take my time and take it all in. From up ahead, she called out to me to come quick, as she found something amazing.
A Conk Mushroom. What a wonderful discovery. Then, when we looked all around the tree, we found two more. I stayed awhile admiring them, whilst my youngest went ahead to explore some more.
We were all, in our element. Freya, was using her nose to doest of her exploring, whilst up ahead I heard my youngest shout out, how this was her new favourite place. The best playground, she said. When I reached her, I could understand why.
She had discovered a huge fig tree, which had the most inviting branches, to climb. She was almost running along them. I found a wonderful spot to sit, so that I could take it all in.
My daughter decided that she wanted to celebrate her next birthday here with her friends, which I think iss a great idea. It's not till April, but I imagine it will be even greener and her and her friends will have so much fun, roaming about.
I know I'll be having fun too. It's brings me a lot of joy, watching my daughter get wowed by nature. Hearing her call out, how beautiful it is.
She wanted me to share these photos as she believes that once everyone sees them, they will want to come and see, her new favourite place. As she climbed from branch to branch and sometimes stopped to hang upside down.
There was so much to explore. Places that required us to stoop low. Lots of holes in the ground, that looked like the home of some animal.
Lots of overgrown Canar that created cave like structures and really were very inviting. We were greeted with so much beauty, excited to see what was awaiting us, as she continued onwards.
Some places, were just a little too small for me to explore. So I left those to my daughter, whilst I went ahead and found my own littke playground to have fun on.
A fallen tree, reaching out over the riverbed, was the perfect place for me to be. To sit in the sun and feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful place, where it doesn't take me long to reach the wild.
