I don't want my hard work to go to waste and I'm disappointed.
There is a conversation happening in this community right now about HivePostify.
"Why does this platform take a 10% beneficiary from new users?"
It is a fair question. It deserves a real answer, not just a quick reply. So here it is.
Who I Am
My name is Aftab Irshad. I am 16 years old and a college student from Pakistan.
I have no team. No investors. No DHF funding. No external support.
I started building HivePostify roughly seven months ago. I worked during school breaks, late at night, and on every free hour I could find. Half of my school life and the beginning of my college life have gone into this blockchain. I realized early on that if I wanted something real here, I had to build it myself.
Today, HivePostify.cloud is a live, working Web3 social and freelancing platform built entirely on Hive. It includes a freelancing marketplace, Hive Keychain integration, local withdrawals for Pakistani users via EasyPaisa and JazzCash, a microblogging feature, a human verification system, a referral program, a community poll system, self-hosted images, and saved posts.
I built all of it alone.
What the 10% Beneficiary Actually Pays For
Let me be completely transparent. I should have made this clearer from day one; I take full responsibility for not communicating enough.
When a user posts through HivePostify.cloud, a 10% beneficiary goes to () under
AC.
Here is exactly what that 10% covers, with real numbers.
1. Server and Domain Costs: $10 to $15 Every Single Month
HivePostify runs on a VPS server. The domain and hosting together cost between $10 and $15 per month.
I am a student with no income. I pay for this from whatever I can manage, and it is genuinely difficult.
There are no ads on the platform. There is no subscription fee. There are no investors. The 10% beneficiary is the only revenue this platform has. Without it, the server goes offline. The platform disappears. Every user who signed up loses access.
I have already spent months of personal savings on ads, server costs, and account claim credits. I am not sharing this for sympathy. I want this community to understand the real situation.
2. Free Hive Account Creation: We Cover 95% of the Cost
Creating a Hive account costs 3 HIVE tokens. For a new Pakistani user who has never earned a single cent on this blockchain, that is a real barrier. Their logic is reasonable: let me earn something first, then I will invest.
HivePostify removes that barrier almost entirely. We create accounts for new users at no cost to them. The account claim fee comes out of our own funds, supported by the beneficiary system.
Every account listed at on-chain is a real person who joined Hive for free because of this.
We receive daily signup requests from people who found HivePostify and want to join Hive. We cannot always keep up with demand because account claim credits run out. The moment our credits are exhausted, people who genuinely want to be here simply cannot join.
Without the beneficiary, this stops completely. New users stop coming, and Hive loses real people from Pakistan who would have stayed, posted, and grown.
3. Platform Development and Maintenance
Every feature on HivePostify was built without a budget. The beneficiary helps cover the ongoing costs of keeping the platform stable, fixing bugs, and continuing to build.
I have no paid tools. No team salary. Just time and the determination to keep going.
I Know 10% Is Not Ideal. Here Is What I Am Committing To.
I am not pretending the beneficiary is a perfect system. I know it feels uncomfortable for users who do not understand where it goes. That is my fault for not explaining it sooner, and I am fixing that starting today.
Going forward, every new user who signs up through HivePostify will see a clear, visible explanation of the 10% beneficiary before they post what it is, what it funds, and why it exists.
This is not a promise for the future. This is happening now.
On the DHF: The Real Goal
The 10% beneficiary exists because I have no other way to keep this platform alive.
I want to be direct about something: I know this is not the best arrangement for users. Taking any percentage from someone's post rewards is not ideal. I am fully aware of that.
If a Decentralised Hive Fund proposal were ever approved for HivePostify, the beneficiary would be removed completely. Not reduced, but removed. Every user who posts through HivePostify would keep 100% of their rewards.
That is the goal I am working toward. That is why I am asking this community to consider supporting a DHF proposal not because I want money for myself, but because it is the only path that lets me remove the beneficiary and keep the platform running.
If the community gives HivePostify that opportunity, the 10% disappears. I give this commitment publicly and permanently.
What Has Been Built: What Is Real

Every single one of these features was built by one student, during college breaks, with no team, no funding, and no external help.
Why Pakistan Specifically, The Opportunity Hive Is Missing
Pakistan has millions of young, skilled digital workers who are eager to find earning opportunities. Freelancing is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country. These are real individuals with real skills, including writers, designers, developers, and creators, who have never heard of Hive.
HivePostify is bringing them here.
When a Pakistani freelancer earns on our marketplace, that money enters the Hive ecosystem. It gets held, powered up, and shared with friends and family. Those people then bring in more individuals. The cycle keeps growing.
This is not charity for Pakistan. This is user acquisition for Hive on a scale that costs almost nothing compared to what centralized platforms spend on growth.
A Personal Word
I have spent seven months building this platform. I studied less, slept less, and missed out on activities that most students my age don't skip. I dedicated time to this project that I cannot get back.
Recently, I watched a new user get onboarded through HivePostify, post their first article, and receive comments pointing out the beneficiary without any explanation of why it exists. That user felt misled. That hurt. It was not just because someone criticized the platform, but because I had failed to communicate something important.
I am not writing this to defend myself. I want to be honest about what this platform costs, what the beneficiary funds, and what I am working toward.
I believe in this community. I see the potential of Hive for people in Pakistan and around the world. I will keep building as long as this blockchain gives me a reason to.
If you have reviewed the work, examined the on-chain activity, and still have concerns, I welcome your questions. I will answer everything honestly.
But if you have not looked yet, I ask you to do so before making a judgment.
Everything is public. Everything is verifiable. Nothing is hidden.
