Progress on Video support and more!
Hello D.Buzz development enthusiasts!
Exciting week over here at the offices. We have put more polish on the video feature by adding some cool bells and whistles to it. Also, we crushed a few long-standing bugs that the community asked about. With that intro said, let's get to the Tuesday D.Buzz development enthusiasts post.
Ongoing video update and progress
Much like the image grid, we have now enabled the grid feature for videos as well. With a grid for displaying your videos, you can tell a story and share a full moment with the world. Capture the memories you care about, and share them on a post!
Along with that update, we have also added a progress bar to the uploads for videos. This way, you know how much more time you have before that video is on the cloud.
Lastly, we also addressed a few UI issues with the videos and their display options. In general, we made the interface a little cleaner.
Bug updates
One big issue we are happy to have fixed is the overlapping bug. This happened on small screens, where contents overlap at times. We are happy that this is now fixed.
Another long-standing bug was a strange one that listed some past payments as "52 years ago". This is a small bug, but a strange one. We fixed that too.
We do value security, and it was a priority to fix this next one. The links sometimes do not redirect to the HTTPS version, but that is fixed with this update.
Several other issues that were fixed were dealing with the title not being discarded when the buzz box was closed, and login issues with names that had a hyphen on them.
All of the above updates are live on our public testing server, https://next.d.buzz/. When they are fully tested, we will roll them out to the main portal.
Progress on Hive Authentication Services (HAS)
We are making solid progress, but it is not quite ready yet. The good news about this is that we can now perform operations, but we are still hitting a minor bug holding us back. The issue we are working through is when a logged-in user refreshes the active page, we lose the current session for that user. So, while minor, itβs still an issue we are working to sort out before we roll this out for testing.
These are the updates for this week. The development team is hard at work pushing out new features and addressing issues, as the full team strives to make D.Buzz the best microblogging platform on Web 3.0.
Till next time.
