We are thrilled to announce that HivePulse v1.6.0 is now LIVE on the Chrome Web Store! This is our biggest update yet — one that transforms HivePulse from a handy companion into a true power-user cockpit for the Hive blockchain. If v1.5.0 gave you your wallet, v1.6.0 makes it yours across every account you manage.
👥 Multi-Account Support: Switch Instantly, Stay in Control
For the many of you juggling multiple Hive accounts — creators, curators, developers, and teams — this one is for you.
- Account Switcher Dropdown: A new account switcher lives right in the header. Tap it to add, select, or remove accounts without ever opening a new browser tab.
- Per-Account Session Storage: Each account stores its own session tokens independently. Switching accounts is instant — no re-login required as long as your session is still valid.
- Add Account Modal: Adding a second (or third!) account is a breeze. Just enter the username, authenticate via Keychain, and you are in.
💸 Wallet: Transact Directly from the Extension
Your wallet is no longer just a read-only dashboard. You can now act on your assets without ever leaving HivePulse.
- Quick Send: Transfer HIVE or HBD to any Hive account — complete with recipient validation (including debounced lookup), amount input, optional memo, and a Max button. Powered by Keychain, so your keys never touch us.
- Quick Receive: Instantly display your Hive address with a one-click copy button. Share it with anyone, anywhere.
- Transfer History: Browse your last 20 transfers with clear in/out indicators. Need to go further back? Hit "Load More" for cursor-based pagination through your full history.
- Claim Rewards in One Click: The portfolio pending section now features a Claim All button. When viewing your own account, claim your HIVE, HBD, and HP rewards in a single Keychain action — no frontend needed.
🏦 HBD Savings Dashboard: Put Your HBD to Work
HBD savings is one of Hive's most powerful — and underused — features. We have built a full dashboard around it.
- Accrued Interest Estimate: See how much interest your HBD savings have built up since your last payment, calculated in real time from chain data.
- Claim Interest Button: Trigger your interest payment directly from the extension. The button is intelligently gated on the 30-day compound interval, showing a countdown timer when you are not yet eligible.
- Interest Payment History: Review your last 5 interest payments at a glance.
- Live APR Display: The current HBD savings APR is fetched live from
condenser_api.get_dynamic_global_propertiesand shown right alongside your balance.
💡 Earning Explainer: Understand Your Hive Income
New to Hive earnings, or just want a refresher? The Earning Explainer in the Wallet tab breaks down all four income streams with a clean, collapsible 4-card module:
- Content Rewards — author payouts from posts and comments
- Curation Rewards — rewards for voting early and well
- Savings Interest — passive yield on your HBD in savings
- Governance — returns from witness and DHF proposal voting
Each card includes the current live rate where applicable.
🔔 Notifications Tab: The Pulse, Fully Realised
The Stats tab has been completely rebuilt as a dedicated Notifications hub — no more cluttered gauges and search boxes, just the information that matters.
- Unified Feed with Smart Filtering: The Pulse now has four filter tabs — All, Social, Finance, and Votes — each showing exactly the notifications you care about, grouped by recency (Today, Yesterday, This Week, This Month, Older).
- Full Finance History: We now pull from
condenser_api.get_account_historyin addition to the bridge API, surfacing notifications that were previously invisible:- Interest payments
- Reward claims
- Power-ups and Power-downs
- Savings deposits, withdrawals, and fills
- Proposal payments
- Background Notification Polling: The extension now silently checks for new Hive notifications in the background. When something arrives that you haven't seen, a red badge appears on the extension icon with the unread count.
- Configurable Badge & Filters: In Settings, you can toggle the notification badge on or off and choose exactly which notification types trigger it. Votes are off by default to keep things focused.
- Finance Pagination Fixed: "Load Older" in the Finance tab now correctly pages through your account history using a sequence-number cursor — it was silently broken before.
- Accurate Counts: The total count shown next to "The Pulse" now reflects the true combined total from both data sources, capped at 99+.
🌱 Onboarding & UX Polish
- First-Run Banner: New users are greeted with a friendly, dismissible onboarding banner that introduces key features on their very first open.
- Contextual Tooltips: Hover over VP, RC, HIVE, HBD, and all portfolio asset labels to get a quick explanation. Tooltips are viewport-aware — they never get clipped by the extension boundaries.
- Version Number in Settings: The current version ("HivePulse v1.6.0") is now shown at the bottom of the Settings screen, so you always know exactly what you are running.
