Overview
In this development update, I worked on enhancing the Distriator backend by introducing a dedicated cashback system for AtiHotel users along with improvements to the existing reward logic for normal users. These updates are designed to improve user engagement, simplify reward mechanisms, and provide a seamless experience for both Web2 and Hive-based users.
This contribution is part of my continuous effort to strengthen the Hive ecosystem by building scalable and user-friendly reward systems.
Backend Updates
AtiHotel User-Specific Implementation
A new backend flow has been implemented specifically for AtiHotel users. Unlike the traditional cashback ladder used for normal users, AtiHotel users now benefit from a simplified and consistent cashback structure.
- Introduced a flat 10% cashback on every purchase
- Removed the dependency on progressive cashback tiers
- Ensured a predictable reward system for better user experience
Cashback Logic for Normal Users
The existing cashback ladder system for normal users remains unchanged and continues to encourage repeat purchases.
Cashback progression:
- 1st purchase: 10%
- 2nd purchase: 20%
- 3rd purchase: 25%
- 4th purchase: 30%
- 5th purchase: 35%
- 6th purchase: 40%
- 7th purchase: 40%
- 8th purchase: Resets to 10% and repeats
This structure is designed to incentivize consistent usage and drive higher engagement within the platform.
AtiHotel Review and Cashback Flow Enhancements
To further enhance the experience for AtiHotel users, additional reward mechanisms have been introduced:
- 3% instant cashback when a business rating is submitted
- 10% instant cashback when a detailed business review is submitted
Detailed Review Handling
- Detailed reviews are automatically approved
- Cashback is credited instantly to the user’s wallet
- No manual claim process is required
This automation reduces friction and ensures users are rewarded immediately for their contributions.
Normal User Review Flow
For normal users, the review and reward process follows a more controlled approach:
- Users submit detailed business reviews
- Admin reviews each submission
- Admin can approve or reject the review
- Admin assigns reward percentages such as 10%, 20%, 50%, or 100%
Cashback Distribution
- Cashback is calculated based on the approved percentage
- Users are required to manually claim their rewards
This approach ensures moderation and quality control for user-generated content.
