I started boxing 6 weeks ago and it is already making a huge difference in my life. I never thought boxing would be a sport for me, especially at my age. I am nearly 50 years old, why would I even consider taking up boxing? Well, I was wrong. Since I started, I lost 2 Kgs, lost some abdominal fat and I feel energised. It is also helping with my awful menopausal symptoms such as palpitations and feeling generally down. I stopped using hormonal treatment and replaced it with boxing! Now, I am not saying this will work for all but certainly it did for me. It is scientifically proven that taking up a high intensity sport at my age could in fact improve well-being, physically and mentally. I will keep you all updated and share my journey to a healthier lifestyle x
