This post was about our trip to Cebu City last January 18. It was a needed destination every January because we wanted to attend the evening mass and see the image of Senior Santo Niño outside the church. After all, there is a solemn procession every January.
When my husband and I were still in college, we would not wait for the evening mass because we were able to attend the day mass, but now that we were staying far from Cebu City, the safest time to attend the mass will always be during the evening.
Last year, we did travel very early because we did not know the safest parking space in the area. But this year, we did not travel early because we already knew the best spot for parking.
We started traveling at 8:00 am, and as you see in the picture, the sun was already up.
When we arrived in Cebu City, we did not go first to the parking space because we decided to have our lunch at Gmall near SM City Cebu, and also we bought some snacks.
Then, when we started traveling to the parking space, we experienced a traffic jam, where we just stayed on the road for almost two hours. It was because the procession was already started, and there was now a re-routing of all the vehicles.
Luckily, we were able to survive the traffic jam and were able to park in the parking area where we parked last year.
The good thing was we could see the image of Senior Santo Niño. Some of the plans on that day were achieved.
