Well it looks like we are going to have to figure out plan b. I might end up just getting a motorcycle to keep cost down for transportation for a little while.
Yes puppy dog is going to be very unhappy that he doesn't get to go to all the different stores all the time. However we are going to need to start setting ourselves up for getting the right little van or RV.. so I guess unfortunately I'm going to have to figure out what to do with the Ford.
Well the Ford honestly enough is dealing with a lot. It's got a lot of problems and we have spent three years living in it so it's pretty thrashed on top of it. Especially after my puppy dog decided to chew on the automatic gear shift selector.
And the seats and everything else and the sealed up sunroof. What's the funky mold problem that vehicle had due to its previous owner.
You can't be too sad.
Over the next couple of months I can put away some decent money at the same time we start looking into getting the right setup.
Of course with me getting a bunch of stuff figured out? And maybe possibly getting through the upcoming legal situation? We might end up being just fine here pretty soon.
In the meanwhile that brings me to a completely new situation.
If I get a motorcycle do I want to get the dual sport or do I want to get the super Moto version... Hmmm.... Now that absolutely is a huge question.
I really want the super motivation. However it doesn't come in the digital camo plastics which would be pretty easy to swap over. Of course the front brake system on the super Moto version is really awesome and helps majorly with the controllability.
I've already owned the 2012 KLX 250 supermoto and that was absolutely phenomenal. We're looking at extremely high miles per gallon with this getting a little less than my 250cc engine.
And they are saying that this little bike is looking at 68 miles per gallon on average which would mean that at most I might be ending up paying $20 total to get around per month for gas.
Luckily at the moment I am staying with the family member so me and puppy dog aren't living on the side of the road in a broke down rig.
Well the biggest one really is selling what is left of my Ford for a few bucks..
Add to that the money that I was about ready to spend on buying brand new set of tires... Plus my birthday money. And Christmas we are also looking at getting a few bucks as well. All of that happens to mean we are going to see me actually being able to afford this.
One of the most surprising things that I found is at full highway speed of 80+ plus miles an hour all the way to 86 miles an hour, we are actually looking at an extremely stable motorcycle design is able to achieve freeway speeds.
I do believe my last motorcycle was absolutely struggling at speeds of 60 miles an hour and 70 might have been seriously pushing it. As well as if you had a stiff wind hitting you in the front. Actually could say that I can watch my gas gauge visually dropping while struggling against an extremely stiff breeze. Yeah my Honda 250 was really struggling!
If I am actually able to pull this off, we actually are looking at being able to afford it and in the long term this is going to end up quite an asset for us.
Storage.
Well I'm thing a bike doghouse for it. A plastic shed or a free shed? That might actually work out well. Definitely not going to have indoors storage.
So yeah might have to put some effort into a frame to protect the bike from the rain.
Overall car problems really suck but we are actually not doing so bad with this entire situation as well as most likely we might be able to get a reasonable amount of equity in this bike. Although I'm going to say that it might be better for me to have this bike as it'll help me in puppy dog save a pile of money on gas getting back and forth to the store.
That and I'll be able to throw this in the back of the next vehicle I get! Lol that is if I don't end up getting one of those hydraulic motorcycle lift carrier racks!
I mean I could be getting really upset and freaking out. Or I could think about putting together the funds that I need to make this deal happen and to lower my monthly rate. Even with full coverage insurance we actually are going to be looking at saving money on my insurance bill.
Oh yeah! It's actually not sounding like a bad plan at all.
Even better is the fact that I might be currently in a position right now to do this and not even touch my hbd savings which would mean that over the next year we are looking at an additional $200 worth of interest accruing. So that's looking like it's just going to keep growing even more.
Well let's cross our fingers! I might just be able to pull this off.
And really don't tell anybody but I'm also planning on misusing this bike. I could actually take puppy dog for a putt around the blocks on the days it's raining and I can't take out the electric skateboard! So that is definitely going to be on my mind here pretty quick. It's only a matter of time and then of course it's going to be spring and summer and then it'll be super awesome time to go riding this motorcycle!
In the meanwhile as I am also able to get around at an extremely reduced rate I mean 11 miles to the gallon versus 68? That is definitely a 57 mile per gallon difference that is radically going to change the game. This bike payment and even the insurance payment is actually going to come to less than what it cost to run the big huge SUV.
Then on top of it when we get the next van or possibly even RV? We have an option to get to town for supplies and munchies on the bike!
And still we have that hive savings!
Hang on! It's about time to really have some fun! I'm going to have to clean my bike helmet!
Kawasaki klx300 speed test!
