Hazrat Hakeem-ul-Umat Thanvi and Hazrat Shah Wasiullah Allahabadi Noorullah Murqdham both narrated this incident that a pious scholar used to teach children, one day there was poverty and hunger in his house and his face was withered due to hunger. When the students were coming to study, one of the students felt that Hazrat was probably hungry.
He said that Hazrat was just coming and left after a while. Sahib said that my son is really hungry, but now I can't eat because I became arrogant. When you started to leave, my heart said that maybe the boy has recognized it, now it will bring food just like you brought it. Tell me if it is noble or not and how is it permissible to eat it? It was to hear that the student returned with the food and said that it is not permissible for you. Now the teacher has become hopeless. He said that Molly, now you are the one who is going to feed. A little time had passed, then the student brought back the food and said, Hazrat is no longer a noble, only Allah is feeding you. Eat, the teacher was very happy and said, Jazak Allah. Your understanding is really appreciated.
After narrating this incident, Hazrat father Majid Noorullah Marqada used to say that today's students neither see the condition of the teacher nor bring anything, but if someone would bring and return a teacher under the elite, he would be happy. Let's leave. Indeed, the understanding of religion is a great thing.
