My week was a bit of tough one has I went through so much stress and I have had limited sleeping time. I have been going for an training in an agricultural institute which has made me wake up by 6:40 - 7:00am everyday.
The highlight of my week taught me a lesson which was to always be punctual and never disobey your elders.
It happened that on Wednesday I woke up very early and was just on my phone trying to check something and I was a bit reluctant to even have my bath. The bikeman that carried me also decided to stop when he saw the police where at the front of us, in order to avoid problems, he dropped me on the way and i had to walk down to the insititute. Due to all this, I resumed for my training work very late.
I was supposed to resume latest by 8:30am but I resumed by 9:20am. When I got there that day I went straight to the sheep and goat section which was where I was working and learning the production and management of goat and sheep.
I was late and when I was about going there I met an old woman who was in charge of that section. Now,because I was late she scolded me and spoke to me in way that didn't sit well with me. I was angry but didn't vent out my anger or even say anything back.
Now,I removed their faeces and feed remains from their pen and I made sure their pen was very clean and tidy. I was so angry I decided not to provide them with clean water and I was just pressing my phone.
She called me to fetch water into their drinking bowls but I refused and just snubbed her in annoyance. What made me really angry was because since we came for training, we have to help them do the work they get paid, for free. They don't even offer us anything after doing a stressful work.
She was fuming and was very angry that she couldn't take it but say "She knows my mum raised me well, but I was the one who refused to learn" . As an elderly person I didn't have a problem with her saying that because obviously that's what elders do say.
Afterwards, she went to the head of the section and informed him of my behaviour , she also said that she doesn't even want any student to work at their section anymore.
The head called me asked what went wrong which i explained and he adviced me to remain calm. Later on, they pleaded with her and she decided to take me back and start working again.
I really felt bad with my attitude towards her because she was obviously someone who could have given birth to a boy older than me and the way I behaved out of annoyance was not just it.
I waited for everything to settle down and on the next day, I went to meet the woman to apologise and she decided to let things die down and asked me to resume back to my work the next day.
