So far, life has taught me that great things take time to come by sometimes—not in a day but definitely one day, especially with determination and positive vibes. This is why giving up even when life seems unfair to us should be a no-no!
It's a motivational Monday, and I am feeling good to motivate you and myself today with a life story of my dear uncle, whose actions gave me a shift in mindset sometimes ago.
It happened that this uncle of mine served his master for eight years. The master, although late now, was a very successful businessman who had good records of settling young guys who usually served him in a massive way. Provided you are honest and dedicated to his business during your apprenticeship years, he will make sure to establish you and support you until you become great in life. In my community, there were many families where he changed their stories through their sons. However, my uncle was so unfortunate when it got to his turn. Just 3 months left to my uncle's settlement, his master died! It was so devastating. His death shakes my community; it was so sudden and strange, and why I don't want to discuss the stories surrounding his death; his sudden death shattered the life of my uncle, and his action later on is what I want to use as the basis of my motivation to you and me this Monday.
As expected, the family of my uncle's master took over the business, and even after mourning their late brother for months, they denied my uncle his settlement entitlements written down in the agreement paper on the day he joined his master for the business. This outcome looked like a wasted 8 years for him. There was no fund from my family to establish him afterwards, and each day, he locked himself inside his room, thinking and feeling depressed. He is a human, and that's all expected, but he didn't stay in that mood for a long time.
Despite how things turned out for him, he developed a positive mindset and was determined to be great in life through the same business even though his master isn't there anymore for me. He prayed and traveled to meet his colleagues in business, explained his predicaments to them, and they decided to help him by giving him goods on credit and allowed him to return their money after sales. Getting a shop was with a loan. Initially, he didn't even bother to rent an apartment to live in but chose to be sleeping in a shop until he could afford an apartment.
His commitment to his business was commendable, just with the same spirit while he served his master. He was focused and defined what he wanted in life and kept pursuing it. It didn't take so long, and he started building up financially. Today, he has different business office branches in different states and has built his own house, doing well for himself.
What he experienced initially was enough to shift his mind to something negative just to make it in life, but he chose the right path even though it wasn't rosy, and with determination and a positive mindset, he has been able to achieve most of his dreams.
I don't know what you are currently facing in life, but be assured that your dreams are still achievable. Just wear a positive mindset like a garment and do your part consistently. I hope this story above motivates you!
