There’s no shortage of problems and there never will be in any lifetime. It's not because being realistic is a bad thing but rather because there is a sense of freedom in surrendering to the unresolved nature of your situation.
There will always be something happening within your life that could make you unhappy. There will always be a bill to pay, there will always be a relationship that’s giving you a piece of hell, there will always be a job where things aren’t happening as you anticipated before doing it. If you are waiting to solve these issues before giving yourself the opportunity to fill your lungs with air while you laugh out and eat some quality food, then my friend I want to use this blog to tell you that you're are taking a very risky gamble.
Last week I went to the local pepper soup spot, they usually set it up with four plastic chairs sitting next to the roundabout, and at that time, I was disturbed with one thing that I had to get resolved by the following week. It's a private issue, but I know a lot of people have it so I'll go ahead and say it, family drama.
The soup was amazing and the evening weather was doing its thing for this part of the world, for about 20 minutes, there seemed to be nothing wrong in my life, but reality is there was.
It is not denial, this is making the conscious decision to be the highest quality version of yourself while you are fixing your problems behind the scenes.
We have been cultured by society to think that enjoyment comes as a reward for suffering. Suffering is a constant. Suffering can be looked at in ways other than how you normally conceptualize it, so if we conceptualize suffering differently, it is very possible to find enjoyment while suffering, and not after.
Some problems will take years to resolve. You must not place your life on hold until then. You must take care of what you can immediately resolve, you must continue to push to resolve as much as possible, and in between those two things, you must live. Living is not a distraction, loving is a purpose for living.
