Today's topic is why in countries like India and in many other countries, medical treatment is so expensive. We all know that we should improve our lives, we should earn money every day, and we should live a peaceful life, and for all this, it is very important for us to have good health, but do we pay attention to this thing: if we ever fall ill or have any disease, then whenever we go to the hospital or anywhere, the hospital bills are expensive, but the day charge is so high, there is a room charge, there are a lot of chances for each medicine, each medicine costs ₹10,000, and an injection costs at least two ₹3,000? So why is it so expensive, and why do we have to do all these things even if we don't want to? Unfortunately, the course of medical treatment is very high in India because the middle class and the lower class people suffer from all this, and because if we look at it, we have completely lost our lives.
We earn money or whatever; if a disease comes, then all our savings are completely lost, and if we see, then the health care system in India is very little and very dirty. If we look at the public health care sector, then it is absolutely bad because if you see, the public hospitals are dirty; there are no good doctors or senior nurses, neither hygiene nor washrooms. If you go to them, they are in such dirty places; neither is there a proper system nor a fan. There is nothing, and neither are there any equipment there. If you go there for treatment, then you will be sent to another place because now it will be said that we do not have equipment, so how dirty are the people living? How much do they pay for the ticket? And out of compulsion, people like us, middle-class and lower-class people, have to go to more expensive places for treatment because this is our problem, or should I say it is a compulsion because we are public? The public health care is so bad that we cannot even go anywhere else, and that is why the government charges us lakhs of rupees just in the name of health care. But we could never do it because we could not get any treatment fast, but this problem is not that much in private hospitals because they are extremely cost-effective; hence, everything is very good in the hospital, but in government jobs, there is a very bad thing in all these government places.
There is a simple solution for this, and it is very easy. It is a good one. Get insurance or good insurance that covers everything for you. The insurance system is not very popular in India yet, but it has developed very well. If you get good insurance that has good coverage. Daily charges are added, then you can settle all your medical expenses for just two to three thousand rupees because the insurance company takes all the money. But the money taken is eligible per month, or you can say it is a very small amount; it will not make any difference to you. Therefore, it is very important to have insurance, and this insurance is useful for you everywhere. If you die, it provides the composition of your family. If you get injured or something happens so that only your brain function is affected, like you become paralyzed, even then the insurance company gives you a good amount of money. Many treatments are not covered by insurance, and this treatment process is also very complicated; hence, you have to read the terms and conditions carefully every time.
Because many insurance companies can cause you a lot of harm in their pursuit of their own benefit, so even after reading every term and condition, sign it and invest money in it because in India people are very selfish, and in a country like India, where education and health are so important, if medical treatment is expensive, then what does the common man do? And why can't they afford medical expenses? Then there is a lot of alternative answers that not everyone can afford health, so if you see in India today, the death rate is very high, and the death rate is not equal but is increasing a lot in today's time, and in rural areas the situation is absolutely bad because if someone gets any problem, then it becomes very difficult to treat him because there is no solution there; there is no facility there, which we add accommodation, food, day, and extra expenses to, hence the course of treatment increases a lot, and no one can say anything in this because this is the problem of the common man. The government is unable to do anything in this because the government is concerned about its own, and in other places I saw it, but I did not see anyone in healthcare.
