This is the second charitable donation this account has made since it started. For those who are new to this account, this is a fundraising account. This account makes monthly charitable donations to organizations that do research ,outreach and advocacy for people with chronic illnesses-using funds earned here on Hive.
Open Medicine foundation was sent a little over $20 this month. Donation was made on October 17th 2023
I thought I accounted for the fees when sending the transaction so it is off by a few cents than what is in the picture but you can see the amount withdrawn/sent from hive-engine. I am withdrawing directly from Hive-engine to the payment processor OMF uses.
This month I moved some funds around and sold some HBD to make the donation. I was able to use existing funds on this account between Hive, HBD and 2nd layer tokens to make the donation. I also sent the remaining swap.ltc from last month over. It was a little more than $3 worth.
I hope this means that this account is self sustainable and I will be able to do $20+ donations every month while continuing to grow HP and other assets. It's a balancing act for sure but it's working pretty well at the moment.
