Hello everyone!
As it's Monday early in the morning, sitting on a train, I am reflecting about last week. I had a week of holidays so did a combinatiin of great activities with some stuff we had to do as well.
The first weekend was merely laid back. Chilled a bit in our house, watching some series, playing and walking with Molly. It was really great to relax, after an intense week at work. As I forgot to tke my phone with me on the walks, I didn't make pictures though. Will try to remember to bring it the next times as I am now back into blogging on Hive.
On Monday and Tuesday, we did some chores in the house, had to clean, go to the supermarket and ofcourse the daily walks with Molly. Nothing too special. One thing which was really nice, was that we made some fresh Lasagna. We really enjoy eating lasagna, especially fresh made one. It's very handy as well to have some portions in the freezer. When we both have to go to work, we don't always have that much energy to cook a fresh meal. But with these portions of lasagna in the freezer, we don't really need to cook but can still eat healthy. So that's ideal for us!
On Wednesday and Thursday, we painted some rooms in our house. We moved about half a year ago and still had to paint the bedrooms. As we had holidays, we thought it was the perfect time to do that job now. We didn't go for crazy colors, just kept it easy with white walls. Both rooms had some white walls which were still okay so we focused us on the walls which weren't white, to paint them. There were some small holes in the coloured walls as well, which have now been fixed. Nothing to worry about, it were just holes from photos, made by the previous owners. I really don't enjoy painting, but afterwards I can say I am proud that we did the job and it's finished. Now nearly all of the works in our home are finished. We just need to paint some doors, not that these are that ugly now, they don't just fit completely in our interior. So it's less of a prioritee to get them painted right now.
On Friday we went to the beach with Molly as I already talked about in my latest blog posts. Won't go in-depth on it in this post as I would just repeat myself.
Sunday evening, we were invited to eat at my parents place. Had some fries with chicory rolled in cooked ham with cheese chause, really delicious. The chicory dish is a typical Belgian dish and with the cheese sauce, it's really great! Had some nice talks, delicious food and a couple of drinks, definitely a nice end of a week of holidays.
Thanks for reading. Feel free to tell me your favorite local dish in the comments. :D
