When did you last do something just for you?
When did you last take some me time!
Not for anyone else, but when did you do something yes just for you?
We always end up doing loads of things for other people!
Can you pick the kids up?
Of course, it is not a question, it is more like a command...
You will pick the kids up!
Or
Could I get a cup of coffee?
You get the idea, it is not a question.
Bring me a cup of coffee, and bring me it now!
You get the idea... I won't list anymore things, and by the way, those were purely fictitious and nor were any kids harmed in the making of this post.
We seem to fill our days doing things for everybody else.
When was the last time you actually did something for yourself, because you wanted to do it?
And while we are it, what was it?
I will start the ball rolling seeing it is #motivationalmondays after all or is that #motivational-mondays
Today I watched a film. Or a movie as some of you call it.
The name and nature of the said film were totally irrelevant!
It was recommended to me by a friend, not mentioning any names but if truth be told it was fluffing awful!
Now you know why I said the film name and nature were irrelevant

But I didn't care, I escaped from the world and watched it (or did I nod off during it, yes that's like it more probably!)
Of course, there are lots of other ways to do things just for you. I have dropped a few more that I regularly do...
This one is practised by my alter ego Archie Cameron...
Meditation and/or Yoga. He would do it first thing after rising while the rest of the world was still sleeping!! But seriously it is great for composing yourself ready to seize the day.
It could even be the seal version of downward dog ... yes upward seal!
Reading...( I am outstanded by the amount of people that don't read!)
I mean it could be a book, it could be a magazine or a newspaper. IT does not even have to be paper anymore of course it could be something that is totally online.
It could even be a wee book!
Blog or write an article somewhere
Since we are on the Hive blockchain it could be a blog or post. Although you might be using a journal. Take your me time and write in that journal.
Go for a walk. This clears the head and gets you fresh air. Of course, I usually feed the birds, but it is always a great way to get some physical exercise. My longer walks I often share here on #wednesdaywalk
Like I say there are loads of things you do for you me time. When we had pets I would take time out just to play with them or walk them etc.
So come on, what do you do when you want some me time? Do you indulge yourself...
