Hello Vibes community, I'm Jhony, I'm happy to be part of this team and to be able to share my art with you. For my first video I chose a standard (a name given to a standard performed by many artists). I wanted to share this song with you because I really like the tranquility it conveys and it was also one of the first jazz compositions I ever heard. It's a very beautiful song called Blue Bossa, a jazz composition by Kenny Dorham (USA), a mix of hard bop and bossa nova. It is said that the melody was influenced by Dorham's visit to Rio de Janeiro for a jazz festival. At first it had no lyrics but later it was written in English by jazz singer, composer and writer Joan Cartwright. I hope you like it as much as I do.
