Hello If you are reading and engaging with this post, first off thank you, and welcome.
I contacted a friend two days ago who insisted I get active on my hive blog again and even join a contest right off the back, especially the #eurovision contest to truly take me out of the shell I've created for myself lately. It took a little convincing but here I am.
My song choice was inspired by happenings in my life. I finally experienced what it's like to loose a loved one in the person of my Dad and it's really not been easy making peace with the fact that he's gone forever. It's been one day at a time for me. Finding peace despite all of the feelings I'm feeling and being able to move forward is what I look forward to.
Also the story behind this hymn had been one of tragedy experienced by the author Mr Spafford who had lost his daughter's to the sea in a wreck.
It's a song that shows a man unending faith in God, despite all.
Song lyrics
1 When peace like a river attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll; whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say, "It is well, it is well with my soul." Refrain (may be sung after final stanza only): It is well with my soul; it is well, it is well with my soul.
2 Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come, let this blest assurance control: that Christ has regarded my helpless estate, and has shed his own blood for my soul. Refrain
3 My sin oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! my sin, not in part, but the whole, is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more; praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! Refrain
4 O Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight, the clouds be rolled back as a scroll; the trump shall resound and the Lord shall descend; even so, it is well with my soul. Refrain
