20 años for the Vibes Music Competition Week 33.

Hi friends! I am really glad to finally being here in this amazing community. After a couple of weeks thinking about it, I took the initiative and invited my friend and colleague Hive account@hjavier to honour me playing the guitar. This is our first post in this community, so we hope that you enjoy it.

We would like to enter with a Cuban traditional song composed by Maria Teresa Vera, a famous singer, guitar player and songwriter that was born on February 6th, 1895 Guanajay, Pinar del Río. Nowadays Guanajay belongs to Artemisa Province.

This is an emotional song that is about a wife that tells her husband about her sad feelings because she noticed that he has not love her anymore. And she still love him like 20 years ago. They can not remember what they lived and now she represents past for him and she is not comfortable with that.

She follows telling him that if all the things we want could happen, he still love her like 20 years ago. She look back with sadness that love that has gone and it is a part of her soul that is broken with no merci.

Hive account@hjavier also gives it a wonderful and special vibe, specially in his solo. He is really good at what he does, and the best is that he really loves to play.

So many Cuban generations have sung that song because of what it represents, the history behind and its sad melody. So many singers too have this song included in the repertory because it is also an internationally known song. Tourists always ask to street musicians that song among others, and we also selected this song to our first post because this is also a way to promote Cuban art in Hive.
