So far we have BEATEN THE GREAT DEKU TREE {@a1-shroom-spores/ocarina-of-time-walkthrough-the-great-deku-tree} and we have COMPLETED SOME SIDE QUESTS {@a1-shroom-spores/ocarina-of-time-walkthrough-after-the-deku-tree-side-quests}. now its time for DUNGEON #2!
You should be standing by the bomb flower plant above the cave entrance. If you do a backflip off the edge you should be able to land ABOVE the cave: Where there is a heart piece. Grab the heart piece before you enter the Dungeon.
When you head down to the new cave: You will see another hole that you can put a bug into and get another Gold Skulltula. Look for some rocks to pick up for bugs.
Enter the cave. you will end up in a middle room before you enter the Dungeon. simply pick up a bomb and blow up the door.
Welcome to DODONGO'S CAVERN! It feels good to be in a Dungeon finally! No cut scenes ... no songs to learn. Just battles and puzzles!
Jump forward to the main platform and then head left. MAKE SURE TO RUN FAST OR YOU WILL GET LASER ATTACKED}. Grab the bomb flower and blow up the doorway.

Now go ahead and just over to the main platform and then the other {east} side. Grab the bomb {flower} and blow up the left wall. Then play the ZELDA'S LULLABY in front of the statue.
When you play ZELDAS LULLABY a fairy pops out! Quickly bottle the fairy. Now when you die you will get another life! SCORE! Equip something else to hide the bottle.
In the next room these green monsters pop up out of the sand AVOID THEM AND RUN FAST. They will hurt you a lot if you stand still. Up ahead there are statues. Pull the farthest statue onto the switch.
Climb the platform and enter the door. Go through the hallway {watch for bats}.
There is a Gold Skulltula here that's sort of hard to get. You need to kill one of the green monsters right next to the door that you usually bomb. The Gold Skulltula is a little higher up than normal: So you actually need to backflip to get it.
Inside this room are 2 humaniod lizards who are very powerful. Luckily you can basically cheat if you are a good shot with the fairy bow. If the lizards get too close press b to whip your sword out and go back to 3rd person view.
After you kill the lizards there are more lizards! These ones on the ground you dont have to fight. In fact they attack very slowly. So light your stick and run through the room {veering right} and light all the torches.
There is a switch up ahead. Step on it. A door unlocks on the other side of the room. Go to the door and open it.
When you try and move the statue by the treasure chest it will attack you! Kill it and then open the chest. Use a Deku nut to freeze the statue then slash it.
After you snag the compass {The most useless item ever .. but hey ... this is a 100% guide.} Grab the same bomb again but this time put into the gap {above}. This will explode the whole column and it will make a giant staircase!
Ahead is a room with 4 statues. DONT TOUCH ANY OF THEM except for the one touching the ladder. Pull that statue out and climb the ladder. Step on the switch to open the door.
Run forward and jump across the bridge {HARDCORE PARKOR} watch out for the fire bats.
BE CAREFUL IN THIS ROOM. Theres ... weird sharp ... machines? IF you peer over the edge and jump across the path you can skip one of these enemies.
Navi the fairy gives you good advice for once. She tells you to use Z targeting to look around corners. Do this to move forward across the path without getting stabbed.
Pull out the block. There is a recovery heart. Now turn around and then jump onto the platform.
THIS IS MY LEAST FAVORITE PART OF THE GAME. You need to grab the bomb and turn around. There is a VERY small ledge you need to land the bomb on. You can also explode the bomb into the air. Classic rage quit fuel.
Up ahead is a puzzle room thats VERY simple. Shoot the eye with your fairy bow to continue.
Now you have to fight 2 more lizards! Pro tip: There are hearts in the back. BE CAREFUL NOT TO FALL OFF THE EDGES.
Up ahead is another puzzle room where you need to shoot the eye like last time BUT THEN THERE IS ANOTHER EYE ON THE LEFT. Make sure to move quickly.
To the right up ahead is a treasure chest. Inside is a bomb bag! NOW YOU CAN HOLD BOMBS AS AN EQUIP ITEM! You start out with 20 free bombs!!
To the right is a bridge with 2 holes. Drop a bomb in each hole to activate the door to the boss room {You dropped a bomb on me... baby.}
Head into the dragons mouth. Go forward into the room and make a left. You will go through a winding corridor and come around to a room with blocks.
There is a gold skulltula in the room on the {above} ledge. Right after that are pots with faeries. MAKE SURE TO CATCH ONE!
Push the block off the edge and into the switch. Then blow up the hole in the ground and enter the boss chamber!
THIS BOSS IS REALLY EASY! Simply throw a bomb in the monsters mouth when he breaths in. Now hit KING DODONGO with 1 sword slash. Then hold the shield button and it will roll over you!
