Been a while since I've had some time to record some gameplay and if you had asked me a week ago that I'd be recording and posting League of Legends I would've thought you've lost your mind, but here we are.
I was recently invited by a couple Hivers to play Dota 2 and it just felt so alien to me even though people say LoL is pretty similar I just couldn't deal with it at all. It could be that it's due to the long pause I had in LoL as well and the game still being different enough or that the skill level in most of these games has increased so much you really need to spend a lot of time on them to get somewhere with the increase in players both of these games have had lately and esports in general all over the world. So after ragequitting Dota I kinda wanted to see what was up with LoL since it's been years since I've played it properly, I think last bull run was the last time I was playing it daily.
To no surprise it didn't go as well as I would've thought, I played a couple ARAM's before jumping into ranked solo mode and both times I was assigned a support role even though I wanted to play mid which has been my main role maining Vel'koz 90% of the time. Worst part is that I got mid twice in the selection screen but someone left it before the game started. :'(
For you experienced league players, brace yourself for some big mistakes and newbish playstyles as we play Lux as support with Vayne as AD.
The second game I got to play support again and this time I just didn't really feel like playing a champion I'm not that experienced with so I just said fuck it and went Vel'koz support, I mean how bad can it go? Well, turns out really bad. At least I could flex my golden skin. :')
Third time's the charm! We finally got a mid position and no one dodged in selection so I got to play Vel'koz in his recommended role!
Unfortunately that game ended sooner than I would've hoped with the other team forfeiting but I guess we just rekt them that badly. I also guess it has been so long or so many seasons that I've played ranked at reached the gold rank that I'll have to start from the beginning now at Bronze. :')
Gonna be a difficult rise as at these ranks it matters so much what kind of people you have in your team, if they're going to be complete new to it or do something like quitting midgame which someone did in the first recording or if there's going to also be smurfs (experienced players playing on a second account wrecking newbies) in either of the teams.
I may also not completely give up on Dota cause a few Hivers that got me to try it out I don't think I'll be able to convince to play LoL instead and we all know it's not only much more fun to play these kind of games with people you know but at the same time you can have some decent teamwork over voice communication.
Until next time!
PS! Apologize for the weird sounds in the last recording, noticed my mic gets weird if I'm charging the headset at the same time.
I'm sending part of the post rewards back to curators through due to some excessive autovotes for this type of posts.
