Been a while since I've posted anything into the Hive Gaming community, with my recent travels I've only been able to have a cheap laptop with me that I found so gaming hasn't really been much on my radar in general along with being quite busy getting back into everything Hive. But every now and then I find myself logging back into World of Warcraft and looking for something competitive to do to relax myself.
Since I'm now halfway around the globe compared to the servers or realms my characters are in I haven't been able to do a lot of dungeons or PvP with other people, it's not that I haven't tried but after a few times blaming the death on certain players I failed to heal in time to ping or lagspikes it kind of got old, especially since no one believed me which I don't blame them since it's the oldest excuse in the book. Getting tired of being called bad, shit, worst healer I've seen, etc, I found something to do that I can do alone but is equally as competitive in a way to group playing; Thorgast.
I've posted about Thorgast in the past but it's been so long since I used to play it that there's now a ton of new levels added into the game. It's even more competitive since I lack the gear quite a bit due to not being able to do dungeons to get the higher itemlevel gear, but that's what has made it more fun.
Currently I'm chasing the Flawless run achievements in each of the Thorgast wings, I only have one so far before I realized I should probably start recording them as it may entertaining for others to watch all the stupid ways I die in.
I managed to place them all into one long video, titled each attempt and even tried my hand at some editing at the very end (see if you notice).
Something to keep in mind for these flawless runs, you have to attempt and clear all objectives and also do it quick. They basically entail freeing a lot of trapped souls, killing everything you see, opening boxes, etc. Thorgast is a fun mode that reminds me a little of Diabloe but with the WoW style, you can also play them with other players but it's probably best I don't attempt to with my current internet connection which is not just slow/delayed but often also spikes at random which can cause a few deaths here and there, but at least others won't get mad at me when I'm alone.
Flawless run also means no death, dying is I'm pretty sure automatically a failed attempt which you won't be able to overcome, thus all the attempts in the video below where I reset any time I die.
Let me know what you think of the video and if I could improve on it in the future. I was thinking of doing live voiceovers during the attempts as well but the AC here is pretty loud and I couldn't figure out noise compression before I gave up on it, maybe that would make them a bit more entertaining since they are pretty long, but of course, feel free to skip a lot of them once you get the gist. The final clip starts at 2:39
Sending part of the post rewards to to help the community account grow as I usually get a lot of autovotes and don't deem this content to be that reward-worthy, I may increase it in future videos where there's less text in the posts explaining what I'm doing in the video. Thanks for watching!
