Thorgast has been something I've been looking the most forward to in this expansion ever since I heard of it's addition. It reminds me a lot about Diablo, letting players solo queue for an instanced dungeon run with many layers and floors inside that become increasingly more difficult as you go deeper in them finishing it off with a last boss. The cool thing about Thorgast is also that inside while you're killing normal non-elite minions and elite's you gain Phantasma that can be used to purchase new abilities through the vendor there who usually pops up at the 3rd floor and then once more at the 6th floor before you face the boss. These abilities are temporary and vary quite a lot, in some runs you may by RNG get some weak ones that may not help you much and in other ones you may get some better ones, usually from rare monsters that have a silver dragon around them instead of the regular gold ones that elite ones have.
Here in these videos we're doing layer 2 to be able to unlock layer 3 which is the last one that is available so far and you can already see that I'm having difficulties with the last boss here. It was a fun run in general though and I can't wait to get better gear to see how much smoother it goes then.
Now in the next video we're attempting layer 3, and here something pretty surprising happens that I get to experience the hard way after dying a few times too many during the run. Needless to say I'm going to need to get better gear or stop making dumb mistakes to be able to complete this layer.
Are any of you playing shadowlands? What's your experience so far?
