Last time I played Diablo 4 was during the beta public access after dm'ing me about it, that time I played it on a laptop connected to a screen and it could barely play it on the lowest settings hovering around 20-25 fps which makes my eyes hurt. It was still alright and I got to like level 18 before quitting cause I had other things to do and missed out on some potential rewards. :p
Either way, a month or so ago I decided to get myself a desktop pc, not the best decision given I don't know how long I'm going to be staying here in asia for but as a gamer at heart I just couldn't handle dealing with laptops and gaming anymore so I decided to treat myself.
Diablo has been one of the games I've played the most since then, having enjoyed D3 up to a point way back I decided to dive back in and damn I was not disappointed by the graphics and general aesthetics of the game, especially running it at max settings with nvidia's DLSS at max quality too.
I've since played through the campaign real quick, I'm usually not a big fan of lore and storyline, but for these posts I decided to try a different class and give hardcore another go. Figured at least I'll record and post these so that if I die due to internet being crap or electricity outage I'll have some proof to point to me not just dying cause I suck at the game. Kind of looking forward to WoW hardcore servers in the near future too but more about that in another post.
I decided to also record some commentary but me being an idiot only tested the sound levels when the game was idle and realized too late that my mic was way too low as I was midgame killing things, especially one of my abilities making a lot of noise. Of course I also recorded two videos the same day before checking on the first one properly so listen at your own risk.
Another warning I have to give, diablo seems to be really annoying and difficult to scale the window settings down to something normal. I have a wide screen and doesn't matter what I tried I couldn't get it to a 4:3 ratio or something most people could watch properly so for most of you, especially phone viewers it's going to have quite a lot of black borders and zoomed out game, sorry about that, will try a bit more for the next parts.
and here's part 2 right after:
Still some settings I need to adjust a little bit like the noise gate and supression, I have also played a bit more on this character off-recording since so I'll give it another try here in the next few days.
I'm also thinking of mostly doing another run at the campaign here soon as that may be a lot more entertaining to watch and could give me a reason to actually listen and follow it along for once rather than rushing through it as if it's torture. Let me know if you'd be interested in it as from a glance it seemed quite interesting and fun.
Thanks for watching, until next time!
