And well, while my brother played a lot of PES before and even play real soccer at times (he's clearly a soccer fan), the items and simpler scope of a small 5v5 game instead of 11v11 makes this a game where I can catch up with him. I remember many times years ago where he constantly stomped me on this game, but two days (June 2) ago when we played these matches, I won the first one with Super Strikes and he said "bro you wouldn't have won with those lol"...so I turned them off, and what happened next is easily the most ridiculous thing I've EVER seen on this game.
I started recording the matches as I wanted these to be saved, but the last thing I expected is that I would straight-up pull absolute carnage against him and get such a HUGE amount of goals against him of all people, and of course, he was still playing his best game (he got some goals out of me) but honestly I was straight up bursting in laughter and being all "IN YO FACE" trash-talking because of the absurd way this game was going after he made a bet on that I was only getting ahead because of Super Strikes (and that game with those before this one, which I didn't record, ended 6-4 in my favor, so that one was actually a closer match than this lol). Love to dish out some huge instant karma like this 😎
The next match after that, on the other hand, was much more close, clutch-filled match, at which I was just barely getting to keep a one-goal lead on him for most of the game, to the point that we were 3-3, I got a goal at around 30 seconds, and my brother was THIS close to making a comeback as he had a clearly good pass to make a goal, only for some spiked shells I threw before literally take the ball away from him before the kick and have time run out. As someone commented on the video would say, "Not all heroes wear capes. Some happen to be very spiky shells." And what a real hero that shell was.
So this next one was were everything was starting to get way more insane: While at the beginning I made a goal against his DK in only 10 seconds and that prompted him to say "Wait this ain't my main" (I was laughing a lot when that happened), he pulled out Mario and started going real. While it took me just around one full minute to get 3 goals, he came back with 3 goals as well not too long after, and with 2 minutes left for the match to end, it was a strong back-and-forth for who could take the ball home...and it was so close that time ran out and we got to Sudden Death after so many near-goals. 30 seconds in, and...he hits the big goal. On top of a close loss like that, he also got his seconds of trash-talk with "NAH YOU AIN'T DOIN WHAT WITH MARIO", and I was so inmediately dead-set on getting him eat his words that I...forgot to record that next match. But it also was a close match just like this one...and I also lost that one against him as well. So with two wins and two losses for each one, the next match (which did survive, thankfully) would be final match, the world-ending tiebreaker of brotherly rivalry.
