Greetings!
"The Library" must have been the most confusing part of the game for me as I kept on trying to trigger the "Lamp's Magic" multiple times as fast as I can. But then, I realized that I need a companion to trigger all nine lamps at once. Luckily, there are two players who came around and we immediately understood that we need each other to trigger the "Lamp's Magic".
Deadly Reach Primary Attack
First of all, my purpose in playing this time is to test the "Deadly Reach" skill of my Monk that I activated after I leveled up to 34. It seems like a fun skill so I was tempted to test it. After thirty minutes of playing, I found myself needing to complete a quest inside the "Library" and as the story progresses I found myself needing to defeat Baal.
Testing Deadly Reach inside Elder Rift and defeating Igonicus, the rift guardian
In this gameplay, I first entered the elder rift to test Deadly Reach, and boy it did deliver. This skill can damage any enemy behind the target so it is a huge upgrade from Fist of Thunder. My monk decently destroy enemies inside the rift so I continued to play until my character came face to face with the rift guardian, Igonicus. My monk decently defeats Igonicus. After defeating Igonicus I continued playing because it is really fun using Deadly Reach.
The Library, the Curator, and the Orb
Thirty minutes after defeating the right guardian, I found myself needing to complete a quest inside the library. As I progressed into the quest I realized that the quest is developing into a huge one, defeating Baal. Inside the library, I first need to defeat the Curator. But there is a twist to the quest, the Curator is actually the one that is going to help me to complete the quest inside the library.
The Lamp's Magic
Here's where I am confused for the first time in the game. I tried multiple times as fast as I can to trigger all nine lamps' magic but they keep on dying. It is a good thing, two players came around and we successfully trigger all the lamp's magic all at once.
The Runes
After successfully triggering all the lamp's magic a rune is given as part of the quest to activate the Orb. Three runes must be acquired to complete the quest. Obtaining one of the runes is quite challenging. The challenge involves mirrors that needed to be arranged in the correct position so that the ray of light is exactly pointing to the rune. After gathering all the runes the Curator finally regains its strength.
The Central Core
In order to restore the library, the central core must be brought to life. And in order to bring the central core the Master's Journal must be obtained. But it is not only the master's journal that is needed, some of the remains of a golem must be obtained also.
Destruction's End Dungeon
After activating the central core the Curator then asks to be followed to the alcove where the Destruction's End dungeon entrance lies. Inside the dungeon, Baal needs to be defeated with the help of some allies, Zoltun Kule and Tal Rasha.
Opening the Helliquary (Hell Unleashed on Westmarch)
Deckard Cain gave instructions to meet someone named Rayek, a colleague of Charsi and a survivor of Arreat. Rayek is studying the Einfrinn tree which is keeping the demons out of westmarch. After meeting with Rayek, Rayek gave instructions to pick the Helliquarry that Rayek is experimenting on. But something bad happened and hell was unleashed on Westmatch.
I just went on and continue playing after hell was unleashed on Westmarch. There, my character battled "Lasal The Flame-Spun". But when Lassal is about to die Rayek sacrificed himself and died. But there's a twist, it is actually just a vision that my Monk just experienced after touching the Helliquary.
Here are my Monk's pieces of equipment after defeating Baal
Thoughts
After this gameplay, I still not feeling the "Pay-to-Win" aspect of the game as I am decently able to defeat Baal without spending and the game is still pretty much enjoyable and fun. The twists in the story are very nice too! Looking forward to playing more.
That is all for now guys, catch you up with the next one. Wishing you all safety, good health, and abundance.
